Stumping Purdy

Patrick Murphy is one of those "purdy" Democrats that are running this year on looks more than anything else. In fact, on the intellectual fortitude scales, Murphy is about as light as Cynthia McKinney. Just watch Chris Matthews stump him. Oh, and before watching this new Fitzpatrick ad, you should probably know that Patrick "Purdy Boy" Murphy has centered his *entire* campaign on the issue of Iraq.

Patrick's a personal friend, and so while I know there's a limit to how political I'm going to get here, I'm going to defend my friend for a minute.
Murphy has a plan for what to do in Iraq, informed by his experience there. Many here will disagree with it, but it's a plan.
Now go to Mike Fitzpatrick's website. See if you can figure out where he stands. Google all you want. You won't find an answer.
that Murphy's plan and Murtha's plan are almost indistinguishable from one another. Both plans are essentially cut-and-run, and both plans are exactly what the jihadists want. Reduce our presence in the Middle East and allow the extremists to claim victory. Talk about a monumental recruiting tool for terrorists.
After reviewing Fitzpatrick's website, the section on national security in particular, I would have to conclude that he supports the mission in Iraq. Further review of his congressional website indicates he voted against allowing permanent bases to be constructed in Iraq.

Murphy has a plan; Fitzpatrick doesn't -- he's trying to be both loyal to and "independent" from the President, blasting "stay the course" while offering nothing to replace it. Even if you disagree with Murphy's ideas, at least he's thought this through. This particular "gotcha" ad is silly.
well in my congressional race.
The only commercials I have seen for Bass's opponent are "Bass supports the war, I don't, vote for me" in one fashion or another.
I have also noticed several "stop Bass, Stop the War" signs going up, usually mixed somewhere in a sea of Bass signs (not sure which came first).
Granted it is hard for a democrat to run against Bass, because Bass is for the most part a RINO, and is also a fairly popular congressman in our district.
I don't think Hodes qualifies as "pretty" though, but then there are people who thought Clinton was hot, and I never got that one either.
Whether Murphy has a plan or whether it's a good one, that's one hell of an ad . . .
