From the Washington Prowler:

In May 1942, General Joseph Stilwell officially ordered the evacuation of Burma. He tried to get himself, his staff and others out by air, rail, truck and jeep but by May 6 decided to walk out of Burma over very difficult terrain to Imphal, India. He took about 114 people, including his staff, medical people, and a Chinese general, and marched them out, arriving in India on May 20. By May 26, the Burma campaign was effectively over. Stilwell's famous assessment was this:

"I claim we got a hell of a beating. We got run out of Burma and it is humiliating as hell. I think we ought to find out why it happened and go back and retake it."

The war to re-take America FOR America started Nov 8. Analyses, recriminations, purging the GOP of rectal thermometers like McCain, Specter, and Graham, all good and appropriate. But the next step is to form strategies, then take up arms, and go to war.

I've already declared here on RS what my own role will be. I'm am going to inflict great harm on the lefty, socialist, anti-American media. Like the lead role guy in the Punisher, it is purely about retribution. Not sure exactly what I can and will do, but as the Lord God lives, I shall. Just one guy, with no special status, access, or resources. But I am one mean SOB. They have harmed America greatly, and I'm going to harm them. Alot.

And I think I'll start with the NYT, the epi-center of treason on American soil.

I'll be reporting in.

The Dallas Cowboys will make the playoffs and thrive there in spite of dragging around the big smelly dead mackerel which is terrell owens

It sums up exactly how I feel about the current political war.

Tuesday was a battle lost, more to do with our deficiencies rather than the strengths of our enemies (note I no longer say opponent, but enemy).
But we did not lose the war.
I am not bitter, but I am disappointed and angry at the waste of 6 years, and those who brought us to this point.

I am committing myself to find and exploit weaknesses in the enemy whenever, wherever, and however I can. I too have limited means BUT I read and learn and speak to people. Lots of people. Politics will no longer be politely sidestepped. When an opporunity arises to educate or correct someone, I will take it - even if it uncomfortable to do so.

We lost this election because our leaders forgot how to lead. A friend in a senior military position always maintains that a leader's function was to teach. That is what we must do, educate those in our sphere of influence as to the real issues of today and be confident that we are right in our beliefs. People will follow those who are confident of where they are going. Ask Reagan ( oh, that we could do so...).

I will not go away quietly and I will not give up because we are closer to victory that it may appear right now. The only way the enemy can triumph is by cloaking who they are and what they stand for. There is no better illustration of how decrepit and hollowed out they are - they must emulate us in order to win.

We will prevail if we educate and lead, I believe it's really that simple.

We left Burma in the hands of the Japanese, and though the Burmese people, under the leadership of Aung San, soon freed themselves from the Japanese, they soon found themselves under the rule of a brutal junta, and still exist today under one of the worse dictatorships in the world.

Similarly, if we leave Iraq, the people will be subject to the power struggle of brutal men, who knows what kind of state Iraq will become.
