Where's Nancy Pelosi?

The list of GOP leaders who have been on the campaign trail working for the benefit of Republican candidates this fall has been long and distinguished.

It includes Speaker Dennis Hastert, Majority Leader John Boehner, Majority Whip Roy Blunt, President Bush, And Vice President Cheney, as well as many others.

The Democrats, until his recent run for cover, had John Kerry stumping for them. Where, though, has Speaker of the House-in-Waiting Nancy Pelosi been?

In this hotly contested election season, when one of the greatest arguments for voting GOP is the specter of a "Speaker Pelosi," the San Fran-based Latte Liberal has been safely hidden away -- and it's not because she's too busy measuring the drapes for her new office to campaign for her fellow Democrats.

It's because, quite simply, were she to come out and campaign for her Party, the Democrats would lose.

It speaks volumes when someone has to completely hide from view in order to accomplish their goal of winning -- and of not sinking the rest of her ticket.

More below the fold.

The high profile, potentially history-making democrat has turned low-key.

The last photo of vanishing Pelosi on the wires was from an October 21 fundraiser.

And since Pelosi appeared on the controversial October 22 broadcast of 60 MINUTES, national TV hits have all but been nonexistent.

[Pelosi did appear on CNBC's On the Money on 10/24 and on ABC on 10/26, as THINK PROGRESS points out. But the sightings have dramatically dwindled.]

Former Speaker of the House, Republican Newt Gingrich believes he knows one reason why the congresswoman has largely dropped out of public sight ever since 60 MINUTES.

"It seems clear that some Americans have glimpsed a future with her third in line for the presidency, and they don't like what they see," says Gingrich. "She has become largely invisible as a result."

...and undisclosed location for the duration of this election cycle.

but I read where Larry Sabato is calling for the GOP to lose every close Senate Race and almost all close House races. He ignores $ edge, polling, demographics, etc. and just bases it all on a "hunch" that a "wave" will carry all of them over the top. Given Sabato's horrible track record, that may bode well for us.
Sitting out is a vote for KOS.

I am surprised Democrats are not saying, "Nancy Who"?

The WashTimes summarized her dubious tenure today.

"Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori"

In the same place as Kerry and Pelosi.

She once again donned the camouflage as to not be seen...

The Hole in the Wall Gang.

Envisioning when all that is Left is the Right.

is that funny? Tbone, really that is not where you want to go. But since you did, I'll just ask you to back off.

Butch Cassady? Sundance Kid? Ring a bell? I don't know where YOU were going, but we all know where Tbone was going!

See The World In HinzSight!

but I really don't appreciate a "hole in the wall" comment or the implications of it.

i gotta say, I have no idea where you're going with it. The "Hole in the wall gang" was the BC-SK gang. Hole in the Wall was the hideout...called hole in the wall because it was in the mountains, hidden away and hard to find. Get it, hard to find? Hidden? Sheeeeeesh!

See The World In HinzSight!

and continue to embarrass yourself through your willingness to flaunt it, I am going to explain the reference to you. The Hole in the Wall Gang, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were all real outlaw type people. They had a hideout that was dubbed the Hole in the Wall because that was descriptive of the geological formation. It was a very effective hideout. Go google or wikipedia it.

However, let me make this crystal clear. If you think I was implying this bunch of human detritus of engaging in any type of perversion from promiscuity, to bestiality, to necrophilia, to treason, to murder, I have no problem with your inferring that. (I didn't go to Yale but I know when to use imply and infer).

Envisioning when all that is Left is the Right.

We should elect you to represent us in DC. The media would never tire of it, and those of us in the right (and on the right) would have a long and happy life watching your pressers.

I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An elephant's faithful 100 percent.

I got your implication just fine.

I got your implication just fine.

But Pelosi, with Boxer, is a charter member of the Hole in the Head Gang already.

If you're seeing shades of gray, it's because you're not looking close enough to see the black and white dots.

Look, I'm a Democrat who reads RedState often and posts very infrequently. I certainly wouldn't complain about Republicans bashing us, because we bash Republicans. But I simply don't get this whole "Where's Nancy" thing, because it seems to be flat-out incorrect: just on the day that story appeared, she was on CNN and also on the SF-area news at a fund-raiser with President Clinton. If you want, check the link out (it's to a liberal blog; hold your nose if you must). Either Drudge just got it wrong, or there's something I'm missing here.

Frankly, if the msm weren't constantly revising and extending the message coming from most latte liberals, NONE of them would ever get elected.

It was amazing to watch as the msm carefully re-phrased and explained the injudicious statements of John-the-Brahmin recently. Where were they to explain away remarks made by Trent Lott, who was only trying to make an old man feel good on his birthday? In the event, Kerry's oh-so-clever mots were possibly the worst political blunder by a party leader in recent memory, not to mention "mean-spirited." And all this in an unclever attempt to call a fighter pilot with an MBA from Yale "dumb."

If what we get from Pelosi is also wrapped up nice and neat by the "neutral and objective" media, think of what she is really saying. No, it's like cockroaches, if you see a few, there are hundreds more unseen.

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." --- John Adams

I missed it - but wasn't Nancy just on 60 minutes?

Thats were she said "the war on terror is the war in Afghanistan." proving again why she cannot be trusted to keep America safe from the threat of global terrorism and Islamic extremists!!!

Nancy Pelosi sleeps with Lucca Brazzi. Lucca Brazzi IV, that is - he's a plastic surgeon in the Bay Area.

Seriously, if Pelosi WERE missing, WHY would anyone be looking for her anyway?
