AGAG is out the door. If you want to find out what a competent Attorney General looks like, you should go to Nebraska and check out RedState endorsed Jon Bruning. He's been an awesome AG out there and now he is running for the United States Senate against Chuck Hagel in the GOP Primary.

Express your support for competent Attorneys General and give Bruning some money. Be sure to add $.02 so they know you are from RedState.

But now we apparently have to defend a Senate seat in Idaho for the R's in 2008:

http://time-blog.com/real_clear_politics/2007/08/idahos_craig_arrested_i...

Who said the following???

“I think a woman should have a right to choose.”

“I believe in gun control.”

“I believe homosexuals should have the same rights as everyone else.”

“I believe in affirmative action. If a woman or a black person takes the place of a white male in a law school entering class, we’re better off.”

“I would love to persuade you that trickle-down economics was a farce or that Ronald Reagan was incapable of understanding complex policy arguments.”

JON BRUNING.

This will be more complex as Chuck Hagel declares he is not going to run for relection. I would think twice about endorsing Bruning and look to see whom the other candidates are.

1.)Former mayor and Congressman Daub - the ideas man and "energizer bunny." He is responible for the growth and explosion of building in Omaha. He has great ideas and visited 93 counties in 93 days (LISTENING TOUR). Conservative and an A+ candidate.

2.) Mike Johanns - former Lincoln Mayor, Agriculture secretary. Boring as a speaker, but a definate conservative.

3.) Tony Raimondo - close friend of Ben Nelson, but a Republican who could make trouble for the Democrats - Nelson would have to choose Raimondo or the democrat. Nelson sits on the board of Behlen (Raimondo's company).

4.) Pat Flynn - a no-name businessman from Schuyler.

5.) Pete Ricketts - former senate candidate. Not likely to run, but has to be mentioned.

Also, I would not be surprised to see Hagel resign before the end of the year and the governor appoints Hal Daub to the seat. There is a deep seated mistrust and dislike between Hagel/Heineman and Bruning/Tom Osborne going back to the governor's election of 2006. I will talk more about that later on. if asked.
