Californication Conniptions Cloud Clinton Coronation

California liberal Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein backs Hillary Clinton's progressive liberal campaign to become president.

Hillary's coronation ceremony didn't go as scripted. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's adulterous affair with Telemundo reporter Mirthala Salinas continued to steal the show. Feinstein exploded when a television reporter Dick Helton asked Clinton how she felt about Villaraigosa endorsing her amid his recently exposed marital infidelity with Telemundo reporter Mirthala Salinas, who happens to be 19 years younger than Villaraigosa:

"Dick Helton, this is Dianne Feinstein. I'm surprised at you for that question! My goodness,'' the senior California senator fumed, as Clinton was heard chuckling in the background. "Hillary's running for president. She doesn't need to get into this!'"

Helton answered that "with all due respect,'' the issue was significant to many voters.

"I echo my friend Dianne's comments,'' Clinton said.

Hillary went on to express her support for the philandering Villaraigosa, just as she did years ago for the philandering President Clinton:

Clinton said she had spoken to Villaraigosa and "his work on many of the issues I care about, I believe, is very significant. So I will continue to welcome his support.''

Villaraigosa serves as a co-chair of Hillary's national campaign.

In case there is any doubt that Hillary is not at all bothered by political adultery, next month San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is also expected to endorse Hillary.

Read on.

Newsom betrayed his campaign manager Alex Tourk—who was also one of the mayor's best friends—by sleeping with Tourk’s wife. Mayor Newsom was separated at the time of the affair (and later divorced) from television commentator Kimberly Guilfoyle.

According to Newsweek, Feinstein, a former San Francisco mayor, blasted Newsom for the affair, or at least for getting caught:

Big mistake, bad judgment, and he has to deal with that,” she said.

But, like Hillary, Feinstein forgave the philandering. After Newsom pledged to enter rehab, Feinstein decided she could still work with Feinstein:

"I think the mayor will solve his problem,” Feinstein said. “I intend to continue to work with him in any way I can.”

I should probably be more libertarian about the Californication, but the disloyalty to spouses and friends bothers me. How can you ever trust someone who has displayed such disloyalty?

just like with her husband when you agree with getting Hillary ahead with shared "progressive" values you can sleep with whom ever you like and the men around her seem to prefer anyone but her.
