If only we could fuel the world with the horse manure Obama hoses on his townhall crowds

Barack Obama today blamed the administration for higher gas prices.
Now, it isn’t an accident that gas prices are this high. It’s because Washington failed to deal with the challenge of alternative energy when it had the chance. Instead we’ve had an energy policy that’s been written by and for the big oil and gas companies.
Barack Obama failed to mention that he voted for that energy policy and John McCain voted against it.
Likewise, Obama told the crowd
While Senator McCain has spoken out on energy reform in the past, in this campaign, he isn’t offering any solutions to help Americans pay for high gas prices. Instead, he’s proposing a gas tax holiday that’s nothing more than a Washington stunt.
What Obama did not tell the crowd is that while John McCain wants lower prices, Barack Obama supports higher gas prices to force consumers to use less and seek alternatives.
At the same time though, Obama is opposed to real energy alternatives like nuclear energy and he opposed to expanded drilling for petroleum fuel sources. Well, let's let John McCain remind us of Senator Obama's real position:
So, to summarize: Obama tells people that the energy policy he supported and John McCain opposed was a bad policy. He also said John McCain is offering no solutions to lower gas prices, but failed to say that his position is to support higher gas prices.
No wonder people faint in his presence. The stench is overwhelming.

Unfortunately Bush also pushed for corn-based ethanol. I'm not surprised if Barry gets behind it too to help pull in some Greens but it was a stupid move and needs to be stopped ASAP.
Ethanol isn't even all that bad, it's corn-based ethanol that's such a horrible idea. There's switchfuel based on switchgrass, for instance, that would do a good deal better and is supposedly a net positive energy producer.
Photovoltaics have finally gotten to the exciting phase of an exponential curve and should be huge within the next decade, and wind is picking up as evidenced by that Texas oil billionare, T Boone Pickens. These are despite major investments by government, which is fine; given incentive (increased oil prices that some say will become mostly permanent) the market will provide.
A lot of people were all for their electric cars, but these were also never pursued. We also didn't push for higher efficiency in cars even though it was clearly attainable. This isn't a failure of any one person or party, it's pretty much a failure of leadership in general and a consequence of our reliance on cheap oil without thinking 10 years down the line. A free market seems almost entirely a reactive entity.

I can't get your link to work, but check out this Time piece on solar power.
Even if this particular company goes bust, the potential reward is enough to keep people trying for the goal of cost-effective solar until they reach it. The government could speed this along via subsidies, but at this point it doesn't seem necessary.
I'm looking around for some solar stocks to invest in. Anyone know any promising companies or funds?

Maybe 30% if you are in the southwestern desert areas.

Now all we need is enough investment to mass-produce similar vehicles so they'll be closer to $20,000 each and not the current $100,000+.
It's the only realistic alternative to fossil fuels, and the power has to come from somewhere. Shame it's been regulated to death.
Toshiba's new 200kw microreactor.
how many of the sheeple in this country seem to like the taste of manure.
I am left speechless at how The Obamessiah can continue to dish out this c**p and the clueless masses just keep eating it up. I have a theory that there is some sort of genetic defect that leads to one being a liberal and believing the kind of fantasyland stuff that TO and his ilk spew out. There's no other logical explanation.

who are seriously talking about the "Antichrist" email going around. I've tried to say Obama can't be the Antichrist because he's too lame to fool more than half the people but I've been unsuccessful convincing them not to worry.
but if you've ever read any of the "Left Behind" book series (let's avoid the debate about LaHaye and Jenkins' views on eschatology), you would see an eerie resemblance between Obama and the character Nicolae Carpathia.
And that's the last I'll say on that topic.

One guy was even convinced that the Antichrist would be Prince Charles!
Suits me fine not to talk about LaHaye/Jenkins eschatology again for a while, but it does bother me that the email claims Revelation's prophecy calls for someone "of Muslim descent" because Islam is a 7th century phenomenon, to say nothing of what that says about how poorly our own Bible is taught.
Maybe half of us are idiots and half of us are always saying, "wait a minute...," but logically, we can't believe in "the wisdom of crowds" and sheeple at the same time.
but I think it adequately captures the idea of mindless drones following an empty suit. I'll try to avoid it in the future.

Nobody is listening to a thing that Obama is saying, they are all marveling at the wonderful way he says it.
He promises HOPE and CHANGE and nobody cares what that is supposed to mean, because they have been told by the MSM that this country NEEDS hope...and change.
They have been told that the country WANTS hope....and change.
They have been told that the country EXPECTS hope...and change.
I am not fond of the word "Sheeple" either...but...

The answer to every question ended with the word "change," whether it addressed the actual question or not.
Makes you feel like a liberal. But the Obamites remind me of unruly children.
