I'm calling it: Hillary Wins. Press off to re-education camps.

I'm going to jump ahead of the press and call it.
I think Hillary came back. Now we're going to hear the press get back on the bandwagon lest they get their throats slit. We'll be treated to "Come Back Kid" stories for a few weeks because the press is so predictable.
We might just get our chance at Hillary if Obama can't do it.
I know one thing for sure: Obama and Oprah need to hire food tasters and car starters.
Have fun with that caption. And can we start a dead pool on members of the Gang of 500?

College towns haven't been counted yet. McCain-Romney race is getting tight as well, no that Romney will overtake McCain but I wouldn't call the Dem race yet.
If not (like many) then students are voting in their precincts.

rumors of big turnouts in some, likely propagated by Obama supporters.

They certainly aren't bringing Hillary's raw vote total down. The percentage may be narrowing, but Clinton has been steady at about 3,500 votes over Obama, if not increasing that number. So as the results come in from the college towns, they don't appear to be bringing down her vote total.
Yet.
I wasn't too proud to admit that I didn't see it coming.
I wonder how many reporters had written Hillary's obit for tomorrow's paper.
And his broad appeal.
Take McCain and Paul out of this, and I think Obama has all the energy he needs to win over almost all of the independents. I don't think this is an indication of Clinton's comeback, but more a "divide and conquer" amongst NH's vast number of independents.
Either way, it is an amazing turn of events. And a win is a win. South Carolina becomes even more important.
.... for ol' Skanderbeg. :-)
Okay, unseemly, but what the heck. This morning during a lull, seeing all the wailing and gnashing of teeth about the unstoppable Obama juggernaut, I opined that the whole Obama "phenomenon" had all the look and feel of a bubble.
I didn't think it would burst this quickly, but what the heck.
Three cheers for chaos! And maybe (Blackie, get busy RIGHT NOW) we'll get a nice rally in the stock market Wednesday on this....

was calling her the new comeback kid about a half hour ago. I wonder who's next...

I can't believe you said that.
I'm outta here.

We'd be going nuts if the same thing was said on DKos or DU.
Obviously its a joke, but there's enough BS about the clinton's killing people going around as it is.
She is by far the weakest of the Dem Top Three, and if she can pull out her party's nomination we will be in much better shape.
it is kind of like playing with fire though. A hillary presidency would be worse than Obama, yet, Hillary would be easier to beat. But, the clintons cheat better and the American people are not acting very conservative about much these days. At least if this takes a long time, it will waste Demo cash.

All talk about Hillary's exit is over now. The Dems will go a long time just as our side will do. The difference is the Clintons are more ruthless and willing to burn down the house.
Incidentally, Erick, great point. Chris Matthews has changed his narrative with each twist in the returns. He may have to go to re-re-education camp.
...because I do not like what I'm thinking. I'm actually kicking myself for being almost glad for her. I dislike Hillary but Obama scares me. Obama is an individual, who if he ever got elected POTUS would leave this nation in absolute shambles. He'd overtake and surpass J.Carter as the worst of the worst. Also, because of the absolute state of nirvana that the dem's, liberals, greenies, etc. are all in over this guy, there'd probably be no 3rd Party or Independents running, pulling votes from the dem ticket. Can you see Nader running against Obama? I just think Ralph would sit that one out. That being the case, it'd make it tougher for the already challenged GOP.
Well I shouldn't be celebrating too much. Is it a sure thing that she's actually won NH yet??? DD
Colleges are not even in session. College towns won't save Obama. This one's going to Hillary.
Strange.

were screaming, some polling places running out of ballots for the Democrats and ballots were being sent to various polling places to support the people arriving to vote.
I just wonder, how many of those "ballots" which were rushed to the polling places for democrat voters may have alreay been marked for HRC?????? It would be easy to "substitute" those ballots for ballots which had been marked?????
Just another conspiracy theory, right....???? HRC wants this election and she will get it one way or another! I agree with the comment that BHO and Oprah had better get those "food tasters and car starters" lined up for the rest of this year!
And I agree with your post, I also am rooting for Hillary tonight. The ridiculous glee that Obama fans are having lately is enough to make one vomit.
democrat race. If Hillary wins I bet he stops talking so much about change.
The only loser in this state is Edwards with a distant third.

some nh citizens who all choose obama as their candidate.. They state that their worried and shocked that obama hasn't won by a double digit lead that the exit polls indicated and now are nervous about it being a 2 horse race. just shows when the going gets tough, they start shaking in their boots thinking the house is going to come down.
Before you get to heaven, you must go through hell, which in my case is the People's Republic of Massachusetts.
With 62 percent in, Hillary now has nearly 4,500 more votes than Obama, and that number is trending up, not down. Obama may be closing the percent gap, but he certainly is going down hill in raw votes.
Where are the beloved college towns?
But wanted to jump-in with the following comment...
WTF?
Or the somewhat tamer translation...
How the heck did this come to pass?
Here's one thing I learned tonight - I'm not going to trust a single Democrat poll from now until the nomination is settled. Even if Obama comes back and wins in a squeaker, really, was anyone predicting The Witch would actually win tonight? Or that it would be even close?
Fun stuff, this.

Hugh Hewitt is claiming Romney basically won tonight. Hugh just doesn't know when to give up. It's sad, it like the Harriet Miers all over again.
but he is definitely hanging in there.
I am still amazed at how people here can think that McCain can be a big winner (as opposed to a winner) when he has only won the most liberal early primary there is, where independents can vote. I mean really, this field is wide open, let's just wait and see and until then debate the merits of our candidates.
Apparently you guys missed the memo that your "McCain won because Independents could vote" talking point doesn't work. McCain won Republicans slightly more then he won Independents by.

i caught this story this morning in the wsj, and heard he was greasing it up a bit.

Good call, Erick!
“.....women and minorities hardest hit”
they must work for primaries. They never worked for traffic stops, though. OTOH, only a Clinton could get away with the tears. Remember Bill on the beach at the Normandy anniversary?
It's a running joke between my wife and I. I remember the Normandy thing, I was there on the USS George Washington anchored off the coast for the 50th anniversary. We we're host ship for him and his little minions. First and probably last time I will ever shake hands with a President, Hillary too for that matter. I have some pretty good pics of Hillary wearing a GW ballcap in the pilothouse where I used to work. There was also a little micro-scandal because their staff stole our nice GW monogrammed towels. They said they thought they were complimentary. Figures. To be fair, President Clinton was pretty warmly greeted by the crew and vice versa, a lot of handshakes and autographs, we average Joes don't meet Presidents very often.

someone check the number of buses and vans rented in the Boston area today.
The ballots ran out in the southern NH cities for a reason.
Right now about 180,000 Dem votes
150,000 Republican votes. What was/is the big deal?

...with turnout on the actual day of an election. Letting it be known that independents have used up all your Democratic ballots... well, it's not that it'd ever be proved that this was a ploy, or anything. :)
The Fuzzy Puppy of the VRWC. I've been usurped!
As of tonite, the Dems possibly will not have this decided until May at least, and the GOP possibly the same
I am so happy Clinton won. As Republicans we all should be! There is no doubt in my mind she is the weaker Democrat candidate who will also hurt Democrats down the board. A Obama win could help a Landrieu in Louisiana for example and draw huge African american voters into voting.

But I'm still sick knowing that 39% of Democrats went out tonight and said that President Hillary Clinton was the way to go.

CNN is pretty sure the college towns are going to save it for him.
I honestly wouldn't doubt it. Still, this is amazing.
