Chris Matthews is getting giggles:

CHUCK TODD ON KEEPING CLINTON OFF TICKET: You know I had another idea, you know the other way he [Barack Obama] can do this is he might get an assist. You know he’s already got Nancy Pelosi saying that the dream ticket is not a good idea. Maybe Al Gore comes out and does this for him. To, "It’s not a good idea to have Obama–"

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Oh that’s a good way to--

TODD: You know you get a couple of senior statesmen that are well-respected by the party to go out there and try to cut this off at the pass.

MATTHEWS: And say, "I’m going to lay on you an inconvenient truth." Well, it’s I don’t know if he’s that magisterial yet that Al Gore can rule above like Jehovah. Or maybe, maybe. You think he’s that big Andrea?

TODD: He’s running the environment.

MATTHEWS: Is he that big?

ANDREA MITCHELL: He is because he’s been so silent on politics. He has elevated himself.

MATTHEWS: But everybody knows he hates the Clintons.

MITCHELL: That does create a problem.

MATTHEWS: Ha, ha! He's not exactly a just empire. Anyway, thank you Roger, thank you. What a night! I'm getting giggles! It's so exciting here -- Chuck Todd, Andrea Mitchell -- because there's news in the air.

Assuming that Obama gets the nod, on Election Night I call dibs on drinking Chris Matthews' pain.

Al Gore is so big he is running the environment! What a window into the fevered addled brain of a liberal.

Do Matthews & Todd really want and expect Obama to pick some whacked-out Leftie like "Moonbeam" Kucinich as his running mate?!

Are they NUTS?!?!!!

(Gosh, I hope they are!!!)

The Obama and Hillary campaigns have already been in contact about her smooth exit. Most likely, Obama has promised her some other post--probably Secretary of Health and Human Services, so she can push health care to her hearts' content. And if she screws up health care again like she did in 1993, it's much easier for Obama to fire her from a Cabinet position, than if she were Vice President.

From what Obama's pollster has been saying recently, the Obama campaign is betting that Hillary's female supporters will automatically return to the fold by Election Day, rather than see a pro-life candidate like McCain elected. If so, then Hillary as running mate is superfluous. Whereas Rendell might help lock up Pennsylvania for Obama, or Webb might help lock up Virginia--just to name two.

If nothing else, beating Obama in November will be sweet just to see if Matthews can keep his sanity.

Stand up, and let's acquit ourselves like men.

Ok, how do you delete it when it goes crazy like that?

Unmedicated? I guess many liberals are giddy over the possibility of someone as far to the left as Obama sneaking in to the WH.

I think it may be shortsighted to think that "all" the women are going to automatically get behind Obama because of abortion. For the radical left & feminists, abortion is the only issue - however, I believe that women are not such a single issue voting bloc. There are other issues, such as the family budget, that are also big for women - & men. Not to mention national security.

Who knows what's really going on behind the scenes between the Clinton & Obama camps? It's possible, but not probable, that all the bad blood will be washed away by a speech or two. McCain can make a play for the "women's" vote as well as the blue-collar democrats. This will be a very interesting general election to follow.

He's so big, his belt size is "equator"...

He's so big, he's got a personal treaty with Kyoto...

He's so big, his bathtub is a supertanker...

He's so big, when he says, "I'm going to lay on you an inconvenient truth", Hillary says, "OK, just don't you lay on me, Al!"

He's so big...
