I'm no fan of John McCain and will not be voting for him, but this whole "he fell asleep at the SoTU" is garbage.
The man, like many others, was reading -- R-E-A-D-I-N-G -- the speech as the President was speaking. A lot of other people were too.
McCain was not asleep and despite my not caring for the man, there is plenty of stuff to go after him on without having to lie. Just deal with it.

He, too, appeared to be asleep, but was reading. Is there any story they won't make up?
Damn the torpedoes!
was Mr. Justice Clarence Thomas.
If the mainstream media want to fan the flames of anti-McCainism then I am all for it. Call it what you will, but should some one come up to me and say, "Did you hear that McCain was sleeping during the SoTU address?" I am going to demonstrate mock outrage and leave it at that. The man who cozies up to the MSM at the expense of his Party deserves what he gets from the same. Don't expect to lie with dogs and not get flees.

FLEES? ....expect to lie with dogs and not get flees.
I didn't notice anyone fleeing the room. Course I was dozing off.
One thing is to be sure, it will be a disgraceful election season.
