Hillary tried to take an economic shot at McCain with a sequel to her "3:00 a.m" ad, entitled, "Ringing":
Announcer: It’s 3 am, and your children are safe and asleep.
But there’s a phone ringing in the White House and this time the crisis is economic.
Home foreclosures mounting, markets teetering.
John McCain just said the government shouldn’t take any real action on the housing crisis, he’d let the phone keep ringing.
Hillary Clinton has a plan to protect our homes, create jobs.
It’s 3 am, time for a president who’s ready.
Hillary Clinton: I’m Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.
Unfortunately for Hillary, McCain is ready and answered Hillary's call with a web ad entitled ready:
You can watch Hillary's ad here. The McCain campaign has been very good with video since winning the nomination.

Why McCain remade this ad instead of the original one... but it looks like youtubers beat him to the chase:
All it took was changing the last couple seconds!

Proud member of the Barry Goldwater wing of the party !
though i wish he touched on the absurdity of a 3am call about the economy, but i guess that would be over a lot of people's headds.
The idea of Hillary, fully dressed in an Expando pants suit, and being called by someone on the state of the economy, an emergency at 3:00 AM, points to the clumsiness and dullness of her, her staff, and the whole campaign. Like she didn't know until she received the call?
And the text, "create jobs", gag ! But fools still fall for it.

Who knew so many calls come into the White House at 3:00 AM?

McCain has to respond by reworking the same lousy ad. I was thinking an ad that was a parody on the idea of getting called at 3 AM on the ecconomy would be a good idea. But then maybe that would seem insensitive to the voters who want to see the presidency as some sort of super parent who they can call in the middle of the night with their financial nightmares.
The next time this ad is remade, it should just begin with "Its 6 AM on a school day and your children are waking up."

It's 11 am and your slacker 27 year old son is still asleep, hung over from beer and bong hits. Time to elect someone who can relate to him.
How quickly 3am jumped the shark.
