With a hat tip to Peach Pundit, we bring you the Democrats' front runner for the United States Senate against Saxby Chambliss.

In case you don't want to hear Vernon Jones a/k/a Snuggles on YouTube, here's the quote you'll enjoy:

"I'm not familiar with the Constitution, I'm familiar with DeKalb County." - Vernon Jones, candidate for United States Senate

[Note by Jeff] The quote in question occurs at -1:02 on the video.

most of the rest of your party isn't familiar with it either.

"I'm not familiar with the Constitution, I'm familiar with DeKalb County."

That made my day.

The US Constitution is not an easy document to understand. Besides the potential of referring to the actually words in the document, you have more important issues such as foreign court decisions, law review articles by legal academicians and the always helping "evolving standards of decency" as described by our stars of stage and screen and mainstream media.

The constitution is not that hard to understand. Not everybody does, but one would hope that someone who hopes to take an oath of office that goes something like "I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States" would have at least a PASSING FAMILIARITY with the document.

"I'm not familiar with the Constitution, I'm familiar with DeKalb County."

He doesn't get out much does he... He's obviously a product of the Cynthia McKinney school of politically inept wannabe's.

Sen. Chambliss will relax knowing that his senate seat is comfortably safe when they toss cannon fodder like this at him.

I congratulate Sen. Chambliss on his successful re-election bid.

John Bolton for President
"FEAR THE 'STACH!!!"

He is probably on Hillary's short list for the Supreme Court.

...a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right...
