Pretty good for a first ad

BTW, the whole Fred joke thing today? You've gotta be kidding if you think it's a big deal. It was clearly a joke made in response to a joke. That's not the campaign spin. That's the reality. Fred may undo himself by not getting with the program, but he's not going to undo himself by having a genuine self-deprecating sense of humor.

It's a very good first ad.

"I die the King's good servant, and God's first." Saint Thomas More.

When is that pic with Reagan from?

"No compromise with the main purpose, no peace till victory, no pact with unrepentant wrong." - Winston Churchill

That picture is from the 1960s, as Fred looks awfully young there (and still has all his hair).

BTW, there's an alternate, official, HD version of the ad too:

The folks in the ad look like Americans, not illegal immigrants.

Go Fred!!

Life is not fair, but It's still a Wonderful Life!

It's a great ad thanks to the economy and punch of the writing. A lot said without being rushed.

A lot of flags (3 in the tavern and 14 on the lawn!) but it doesn't quite hit insincere territory.

The two small weaknesses I see are a soundtrack that's a bit more majestic than the text (Copeland?), and the animation of "Strength Conviction Honesty" feels like a law firm commercial.

Got me just the same though.

that this is a nice ad. I am pleased.
