Silly America Ferrera's Stump for Hillary
Another liberal celebrity that should probably stop talking

Ugly Betty Actress America Ferrera is supporting Hillary Clinton for President. She recently took to Nevada doorsteps with former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton – asking for votes and rallying support.
Clinton may be thrilled to get the youth vote excited but Ferrera may not be her best choice. Last February during the Spirit awards, when asked if she had any traits in common with the country that is her namesake, Ferrera replied:
“I guess I'm a free-spirited person and America's supposedly the 'land of the free,' right?...Or at least we will be in 2008.”
Here's the clip documenting Hill, Chels, and America on the campaign trail in Nevada:
A LITTLE ANALYSIS BELOW
Her name may be America but that means little. First of all, 2009 is when President Bush officially leaves office – when she will be "free.” Secondly, joking about America's freedom when there are countries actually under the arm of communism and dictatorships -- that really crosses a line. And the Hollywood ultra-libs laughed.
America, a decent actress, doesn’t do so well with the faux excitement teeming on her words in this vid. She has so much “pride” for Hillary and says, “Oh my god, this is a woman running for President!” You’d think she’d vote for someone just for being female. Hmmm.
Chelsea’s lines are equally as dull: “I’m so proud of my mom. I keep thinking I can’t like be more proud of my mom but I get more proud of my mom.” That’s deep.
The "woman" thing comes up again and she’s clearly trying to grab the Obama followers – featuring mostly youth and minority individuals. Yawn.

And at one point, she even looked like her...

Gawd be praised, surrender in Iraq, await terrorist strikes worldwide and at home, a to now suppressed tyrant wannebe in the WH, higher taxes, IRS audits and Congressional investigations for right wing theocrats and extremists, regulations with no end in sight, abandonment of NSA surveillance, spending and controls blowing through the roof, ain't freedom great? Well if you don't know what freedom is you will hardly miss it while it's taken from you.
I still can't plumb the depths of stupidity of this sort try as I might to comprehend it. How does a fool like this reconcile her ability to make statements such as this with the freedom purportedly lost?
"a man's admiration for absolute government is proportinate to the contempt he feels for those around him". Tocqueville
They squawk about hypothetically sacrificing their freedom from terrorist surveillance, but they willingly lobby to abdicate virtually every actual freedom in their lives to government control.
They want their nanny government to take more of their money and spend it for them, despite decades of proof that government never spends money efficiently. The same government that spends $1,200 for a toilet seat is now to be trusted to negotiate drug prices.
They want the government to make decisions for them and their families about healthcare, education, retirement, etc.
When career bureaucrats look for solutions to any problem, why would they ever consider free market solutions when they have such a poor understanding of how efficiently those markets operate without their guiding hand of well-intentioned incompetence?
As Harry Browne said, "The federal government knows how to break your legs, hand you a crutch, and then say, 'If it weren't for the government, you wouldn't be able to walk.'"

“I guess I'm a free-spirited person and America's supposedly the 'land of the free,' right?...Or at least we will be in 2008.”
Ayaan Hirsi Ali once told an anti-America journalist from Canada that since he was born within a free society he can spit on freedom because he takes it for granted. He has no idea what it means to grow up in an oppressed country.
The same goes for this idiot America Ferrera. She speaks out of complete idiocy. Morons like this can spout all this our-freedoms-are-being-taken-away-from-us crap all day long, but ask them to give an example on how THEIR PERSONAL experiences with their freedoms being stripped from them, and they'll give you a deer in the headlights stare.
These Hollywood fools live in a world of make-believe. They live in a world of gourmet food, personal trainers, and by a system of success devised by how many paparazzi trail your every movement.
America Ferrera knows NOTHING BUT freedom. Which is why she is allowed to say such stupid things, and live.
Morons.

who would watch a show called "Ugly Betty," nevermind be impressed by the political opinions of any actor or actress, period.
You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.

On the one hand I can understand because who wouldn't be pumped about their mom running for the Presidency (although mine is far more qualified than Mrs. Clinton), but on the other hand... Nice to see that high quality Columbia education, huh?

...America *does* need change.
