So, it's time for a conversation about race, then? [UPDATED] [And UPDATED AGAIN]
OK. Let's start with the problem that Daphna Ziman recently had.

[Another UPDATE]: Second time's the charm, it seems (scroll down). Hmm. Or not.
Some of you are wincing in anticipation.
Good. Some of you deserve to.
This video from Pajamas Media: you can also check out My Pet Jawa. Also, contra Hot Air, note this LA Sentinel piece indicating who Rev Lee is supporting. Also see Roger L Simon's main site for a follow-up, and a site called The Posthumous Luger, which provides details that I haven't found anywhere else (ones that I'd like to see verified).
[UPDATE]See also this update by Roger Simon, in which Reverend Lee buries himself deeper:
In a very small part of my presentation, I referenced a meeting I had with Rabbi’s and other community leaders. A Rabbi stated in that meeting that the close relationship between the African American and Jewish communities had been disconnected after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King. I further referenced in my speech that my response to the Rabbi was that the Black Power Movement emerged after the assassination of Dr. King and it was a direct response to the negative characterizations of African Americans through the silver screen, TV and the music industry, industries that are influenced by many in the Jewish community. I then stated to the Rabbis that the Black Power Movement was our effort to define for ourselves our own identity rather than be defined by anyone else. I then indicated in my presentation that I told the Rabbis’ that before a genuine coalition could be rebuilt between our communities, there would have to be dialogue and efforts made to deal with the negative characterizations of African Americans.
Bolding mine. Someone should explain to this guy that when you're trying to walk back from a PR mistake of this intensity, it's usually counter-productive to reinforce the original offensive statement in said walk-back.
Caught up? Excellent.
Read on.
Let's dismiss one canard, right from the start: neither Ms. Ziman nor I think that Reverend Eric Lee's bigotry is universally shared by the African-American community, nor do I (and presumably, Ms. Zyman) believe that it is even a majority opinion among African-Americans, either. The fact that Kappa Alpha Psi honored this woman with one of their awards is an argument against it: it beggars belief that they would invite her to a ceremony for the express purpose of attacking her religious/cultural group, and by all accounts that room emptied quick once Lee got rolling with the Jew-hating. So, just one of those things, right?
Wrong.
This is not actually about Senator Obama; he's merely a catalyst that got introduced into a solution that's been quietly unstable for some time. People like Reverend Lee, and Reverend Wright, and let's not of course forget Reverend James Meeks did not magically appear out of nowhere, after all. No, they've been instead part of urban political activism for quite some time, which is another way of saying that they've been a part of their local Democratic Party's power structures. These are not fringe preachers with no clout; they may be crazy, and they're certainly nasty, but they're hardly outcast. Just... not talked about. It happens. Let it slide.
Except that circumstances now dictate that we can't, any further. The people in the Democratic Party who hold certain repugnant beliefs (and who were simply shushed instead of reproved for them) don't feel like being shushed anymore; and the people in the Democratic Party who were shushing them are themselves divided, with some of them finding that it's no fun to be the target of vituperation. Ms. Ziman is by all accounts an innocent in this battle. Others have not been, and their reactions are ironically what is making this problem a public circus instead of a private scandal. Or, to put it another way:
Chickens.
Chickens coming home - to roost.

I'm not surprised, either. I don't think that anybody was expecting what ended up happening, after all.

PS: You found it boring? I didn't. Hrm.

and it goes like this...
I was raised to respect all races...and have spent my entire life doing so. It is large portions of the black community that are setting back the years of progress in race relations.
It is a large portion of the black community that hides their racism behind the doors of the African American church expierience. It is a large portion of the black community that has pissed off people like me that have really cared throughout the years.
I hate to say this, but many in the black community have now caused me and others I know to question the avergae African American...where do you stand?... Do you too believe these things being said?
Are we really ready to have this discussion?..
" Got to love the Lord for making things like that."
Morally Compromised
In college my team consisted of Hispanics, blacks, and whites. We were all a team with the ultimate goal of winning.
Our volunteer military consists of the same. They too are there for each other, willing to die to save the team.
Religious communities who conform to the 'teachings' of the likes of Rev Wright... walk away divorced from the team conception. As such, not only are they firewalled from a valid relationship with their Maker, but they are dog-walked into further mediocrity.
We covered this today, with a fundamental question at the heart of our article: Does Daphna Ziman recognize the Source of the Problem? Does she know that, while all blacks who are on the political left are not anti-Semitic, all blacks who are anti-Semitic ARE ON THE POLITICAL LEFT?
"Does she know that, while all blacks who are on the political left are not anti-Semitic, all blacks who are anti-Semitic ARE ON THE POLITICAL LEFT?"
Please post a link of your source.
...is a double-edged sword for you, this go-round. 90% of AAs identify as Democrats, remember? - and anti-Semitic AA conservatives aren't exactly what I'd call... well, I'm sure that there's at least one out there, but nobody's springing to mind.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. No coffee, yet?

PS: Threadjack ends now.

I'll ask again (as the same is always done for me)- please post a link to your source. I'll even throw a cherry on top.
I know that it's tough, having to face that people from your Party have quite the habit of open Jew-baiting, but you're better off fighting them than us - assuming that you actually care, of course.

Why are conservative-minded blanket statements always assumed as fact on this site?
Dumb question- I'll retract before all of the smart-asses come flying in with their unmitigated wit.
with a single data point that tends to disprove it. That's the great thing about "all" statements - they're so easy to falsify! Please feel free to do so.
Oh, and this is your one language warning. Profanity is not tolerated here at RedState. Thanks in advance.

for an unmitigated twit. Are you seriously putting forth the blanket statement "conservative-minded blanket statements (are) always assumed as fact on this site"? Are you that obtuse or have you combed through all the RS posts and archives and can confirm your "always" claim? Just kidding about the twit part, I am sure you are a nice person.
"Are you seriously putting forth the blanket statement "conservative-minded blanket statements (are) always assumed as fact on this site"?
Yes, I am.
"Are you that obtuse or have you combed through all the RS posts and archives and can confirm your "always" claim?"
No, I am not. Yes, I have.
I'd wager that once you come up with such a list, we can disprove your statement before you can find an anti-Semitic African-American conservative.
If you can't come up with such a list, even a subset, then you're just blowing smoke.

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but it takes the bandwidth of ten thousand.
Just in case no one ever notified you, Life is Not Fair™. You are on a conservative website among conservatives. This means that you are not on equal footing here. Not even close. You've made a number of unsubstantiated claims about the community here and have refused numerous requests to back up your claims. The next time you do this, you're gone. Full stop. And I don't really care about your view concerning the paucity of evidence put forth by anyone else here, hmmkay?
I've been forced to warn you twice in the same day, now. I won't waste my time again.

African-American community, but there has been growing evidence that it is deep seated and widespread. I would start with Jessie Jackson's reference to Hymie Town.
He said that in 1984. 24 years ago,not last week, last month or last year. He was not criticized by black in 1984, and he would not be criticized today.
In my experience (anecdotal, for sure), those who are most anti-white are even more anti-Semitic. The reverend's comments do not exist in a racial vacuum. Note the number of attacks made on Israeli policy toward Arabs and Palestinians. Note also that the growing anti-Israeli positions of various leftwing websites, and white Democratic politicians.
The number of policy leaders from the left who blame Israel for all problems in the Mideast, and therefore the world, continues to get more of the public stage. The MSM does not publicize their anti-Israeli positions, but their overall stock rises in the media. Look at a few of the Obama foreign policy advisors.
I predict we will see even more of this type of behavior become more public as the left increasingly abandons Israel.
map, how exactly does this kind of hate-filled rhetoric differ from the stuff that flows like sewage from anti-semitic imams, bigoted world leaders like those in Iran, and the Nazi rhetoric of the 30's and 40's. I don't care what your race has suffered through, there is NO excuse for this kind garbage--and even less of an excuse for the MSM refusing to report it. If they were publicly outed for their positions, instead of being allowed to carry on business as usual with no penalties at all, maybe they would be forced to finally change.
As it is, it is those primarily, or solely, on the Right who try to hold them accountable.

The video was so boring I only watched the first 1:30 or so. Do we have any video of the actual preacher?
