The Daily Pinocchiobama Lie: Obama lies about the flag

My God in Heaven, this guy is just blogger gold! Seriously folks, for all the talk that lefties have about Bush lying, what they actually usually mean is that Bush does what he says and they can't believe he'd actually do that!
Obama, on the other hand, is rapidly earning the label Pinocchiobama. Hat tip to Jim Gergahty for this one. I missed the torture exercise debate.
Last night, Obama said, "I have never said that I don't wear flag pins or refuse to wear flag pins."
As we chronicled the other day, in October 2007, Obama said:
Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest.
Oh, I get it. This is just lawyering out of it again (he's good at lawyering out since, as his wife said, she's a lawyer, he's a lawyer, and "everybody [they] know are lawyers.").
He said he wouldn't wear one on his "chest" not that he wouldn't wear one. No doubt he had a little flag lapel pin on his underwear.

Nice work! If Obama lies so much why are you posting this trivial BS? Give me a break.

Maybe you are right. Maybe this is trivial. But the fact is Snobama made a decision last fall to forgo the flag pin - and he almost certainly did it to attract voters just like you. And now here he is wearing the flag pin; which means he's looking for the votes of us gun toting, bible loving rubes and he considers your vote expendable.
He caved. When a little bit of pressure came his way he folded up like a cheap suit and pandered to the very American culture that you and yours hold in such disdain. I don't know about you, but if it were me, that'd probably make me feel just a little bit "bitter".

It holds as much water as making a stolen recipe reference. Nice work.
Fun to watch, no? :)

on todays Oprah :-) I think I see a reality show in the lying lawyers venue....lawyers are going to have to ask Michelle and Barack to get out of the race before they give them a bad (worse) name than they already have.
Freedom of Religion not Freedom from Religion
but last night BHO sited Chicago has seen the death of 34 Chicago Public School children already this year....
I saw earlier on news (TV) this week that the number is actually 24...I've been trying, but can't find anything to back that up statistically
" Got to love the Lord for making things like that."
Morally Compromised
Moe, you're wrong here. This one doesn't sting. It makes me roll my eyes.
At some point, I think I told someone here "if that's the best ya got, we win." Well, I think it's pretty clear you have better ammunition now.
My personal observation on said pins, if they have meaning at all, is that most of the plastic patriots I work with at court wear one, or at least did when it was more in vogue. The same jackasses who thought I was out of my mind for joining the guard, since it interfered with my legal career. I am quite confident there are legions of folks who wear these things as a proud and meaningful display, but besides maybe some folks at church, I don't personally know a one. Maybe it's a lawyer thing. Dunno.
...I never said that it would sting you. I was talking to the drive-bys and the not-as-clever-as-they-thoughts. :)

DOESN'T SEEM QUITE FAIR, DOES IT?

Now, don't pout. It's not our fault that the GOP never has to worry about proving its patriotic bona fides.

When did he do it?
Oh, right. It's not the same, no matter how much you want it to be at the moment.
By not wearing it he is inherently refusing to do so. And its not like Barack went out on his own and gave a speech denouncing flag pins, he was asked about it by a reporter.
[QUPTE]An eagle-eyed reporter for the ABC affiliate in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, noticed something missing from Democratic presidential contender Sen. Barack Obama's, D-Ill., lapels.
"You don't have the American flag pin on. Is that a fashion statement?" the reporter asked, at the end of a brief interview with Obama on Wednesday. "Those have been on politicians since Sept. 12, 2001."[/QUOTE]
And Moe, whether or not the freak show makes this an issue or not, you have the choice of whether or not you personally wish to question Obama's patriotism. So yes, it is your fault.
the flag pin. He went out on his own to put down those who wear it. He questioned the patriotism of those that wear it.
He will never be President.

"One man with courage makes a majority." - Andrew Jackson
So once he put it on he could never take it off? I believe, truly in my heart, that while John McCain was a prisoner of war he was brainwashed and released to become a Manchurian candidate and destroy America. How can you prove me wrong? The man doesn't even wear a flag on his lapel! How are we supposed to know what country he supports!?!?!?

Democrats don't lie -- it's the -truth- that changes.
