The Great Democratic Middle Class Rorschach Test continues.

Anybody have a scorecard? Or even a program?

As per Pejman, this is getting kind of silly. Somebody should be helping out poor legislators like Allyson Schwartz (D-PA), who has to be on the front lines of keeping the definition of "middle class" flexible, if not boneless:

Alternatively, you can go look up Marina Kats, who has volunteered to do an intervention on Rep. Schwartz in PA's 13th District, and see what you can do to get that particular project going. The Pennsylvania GOP would love to hear from you, too.

There's gonna be a run on the food stamp office.

Half of the country will in line.

Socialism doesn't work. It looks nice on paper, but it's been tried and it's failed miserably every time (usually accompanied by widespread death and suffering).

....already in line! Half either work for, or receive benefits from a government, federal, state, local, leaving the other half redoubling their labors to feed and clothe their immediate families as well as their de facto extended families, those on the state's payrolls or lists entirely dependent on the unbroken stream of tax revenues generated by the serfs laboring in the fields.
The legislative commentators pictured on the CNBC soundbite obviously have their heads placed up their anatomically impossible locations where the sun never shines.
The misguided Robin Hood spirit of the Democratic Party marches on aimlessly. Forever robbing Peter to pay Paul, forever and ever and ever! Whatever it takes to get elected and stay there.

Wow did she ever look angry when he walked over the normal Dem tactics of throwing up a smoke screen and changing the question. Someone forgot to attend the Daily talking points meetings.

He's a business guy. They tend to still lean a bit liberal, but are more used to dealing with actual facts than your average NBC reporter.

I don't mean the CNBC reporter I ment the guy sitting next to her, not sure if he's another Dem Rep or someone else in the party.

For Republicans, it's critical to cut taxes for all Americans because it puts more money in the hands of individuals to invest in their businesses, capital, the stock market, etc. Investment creates jobs and opportunities for all Americans - something that the government is incapable of doing. Tax cuts are an economic growth tool.

For Democrats, it doesn't matter what's best for economic growth. As Obama bloviated in his tortured explanation of capital gains taxes, what works and what doesn't work is a distraction. Tax cuts are all about redistributing wealth to give the perception of "fairness".
