Didn't you get the memo, Erick? It's all about preserving her options!
Hillary Clinton won't say how she will fix Social Security. She spurns a deadline for withdrawing troops from Iraq. She's for free trade, except when it doesn't work. She defends her home state's issuing of driver's licenses to illegal immigrants, but doesn't really like the idea.
Yet a closer look reveals one thing Clinton has been quite explicit about - that as she campaigns, she is being careful to preserve her options as president if she goes on to win.
Keep in mind folks, this "news" piece - essentially the Globe-Democrat reporterette serving as a human flipping fax machine for the Clinton campaign - appeared on the front page of yesterday's paper.
It is, however, revealing of her painfully simple strategy - I'm not going to tell you a single damn thing about what I will do as President, only that it will be to "correct the failings of the Bush Administration" yadda yadda yadda - VOTE FOR ME!!
A normal person would be embarrased - even shamed, perhaps - by this sort of silliness. But if we know anything about the Clintons, it's that they left "shame" back at the station 4-5 stops ago.

Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock.
does she remind anyone besides me of J f'n K? He refused to state what he would do about virtually everything as well.
She really thinks she can get away with this. With the blogosphere and YouTube, I don't see how.
And kudos to the Breck Girl, but praising him for this is like praising UpChuck Schumer for defending the use of torture in extreme circumstances. Every once in a great while the truth slips out of the Dems.
You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.
now that's how to do an ad. Republicans, take note.

It's won me over - vote Edwards! (snicker) I do like the fact that there has been no real winnowing in the Democratic primaries - Hillary has marched out and captured it. So, she'll be more likely to stick with her positions as she hasn't had to really qualify her message.
Ha, ha, ha, ha! Our probability of success continues to grow.

It feels a little bit weird putting a John Edwards video in my favorites over at YouTube...it must mean the Apocalypse is coming!
This is the exact ad that I wanted to see back in 92 and 96, but we never saw.
What does it say when Silky "my wife is gonna slap you for that" Pony has more cajones than GHW Bush or Dole had?

He's a lot like Gary Hart, only without the whole daring Reporters to catch him cheating on his wife thing.
When it comes to shallowness, John Edwards is a kiddypool. The guy has changed his stance on at least a halfdozen major issues in the last five years. As well, Edwards is a thug who threatens anybody who dares criticize his lifestyle.
In fact, Edwards is dangerously close to recieving a lifestyles of the rich and famous parody ad to expose his hypocrisy.
So yes, I feel better about him being the nominee, because he's another Jimmy Carter. I'm certain that the terrorists would much rather prefer dealing with President Goodhair instead of President Giuliani or President Huckabee.
Of course, I would also prefer not having Edwards be the President, because that would be the worst thing to happen to America in a long time.
Edwards scares me. I'd much rather face Hillary Clinton in the general election. There's a reason that John Edwards is filthy rich and it's that he is very very good at making emotional arguments that sway juries. Put a guy like that on media steroids, which are provided free to any Democratic nominee, and he could be trouble.

a smarmy, obvious, shyster with such an outdated simplistic populist message, then they deserve what they get!

...is what we hear over and over and over again. Kerry, Hillary, etc. What is this plan? Don't you dare ask that. It's unseemly.
Just another good ad to throw in the mix from FreedomWorks.

It's very telling that this video is currently on Dailykos' front page. She can not get elected!

...lets keep the powder dry for the election. She is who we want to face folks.
“.....women and minorities hardest hit”
That is hilarious!!!

This is just softening her up. Now that the media has been forced to face this fact about her, it has "become" truth that can now officially be referenced throughout the generals in the media echo chamber.
"I'm Elizabeth Edwards, and I approve this ad."

a bunch of money on ad design costs, which means we can run this more places. The great thing is this can be remade for Edwards too. What a fun election we have to look forward to next year.
