Total War

If anyone thinks that the Clintons are going away anytime soon, they had better think again. Bill Clinton is upping his involvement in the campaign and while that may mean an increased chance for gaffes, it shows that the Clintons are in the race for the long haul. They are assisted by Bob Herbert, who has taken a break from issuing his cookie-cutter Republican-bashing columns to argue that Barack Obama is responsible for a lot of his own political problems. Hillary Clinton is cutting into Obama's national lead. Eleanor Clift is speculating that the Clintons are preparing an enemies list to refer to frequently after they presumably win and all of this is indicative of a rising conventional wisdom that states that Hillary Clinton might yet pull off winning the Democratic nomination.

One of the problems is that anger is growing like a cancer among Democrats. The Clintons have more than lived up to their polarizing reputations, slicing and dicing the electorate and then gleefully exploiting the myriad divisions.

Is there a point at which anger can no longer be called anger, but must be termed some other state of mind? Because Democrats have been angry since Bush's unanimous defeat of Gore in 2000.

And the Clinton's can't help but divide. They're just typical white people.

By which I mean to point out that that Mr. Obama deals the cards played against him.

As an aside, it's mainly the fault of windy, pretentious Neocon-wannabies like yourself that "war" somehow a dirty word.

Which is a damn shame, because we might need it later.

I'm sure you'll last a long time here.

of the prosecutions evidence against liberal posters who come to RedState and other conservative sites for the purpose of an "honest debate."

They decry our willingness to discuss issues with them. But, when faced with the fact that they are disallowed to use profanity -- when confronted with "ideas" -- when stripped of KnownFacts™ and Talking-Point-o-Matic™ bullet points -- when it devolves for them, down into an actual battle of wits; they find themselves unarmed for the conflict and forced to end the affair by falling on their own petard as an act of self-immolation.

Attempting to libel Pejman in that way was highly ironic of him. Terminally, in fact.

"I believe we must adjourn this meeting to some other place." - The last recorded words of Adam Smith.

The protracted and increasingly acrimonious fight for the Democratic presidential nomination is unnerving core constituencies -- African Americans and wealthy liberals -- who are becoming convinced that the party could suffer irreversible harm if Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton maintains her sharp line of attack against Sen. Barack Obama.

Washington Post, April 26, 2008

Since reading this article on Saturday I have spent the entire time gazing into a bowl of raisin bran (many good things come from raisin bran) trying to figure out how this is a bad thing.

So far I've got nothing --- save for a bowl of really soggy raisin bran.

Why would God invent something like whiskey? To keep the Irish from ruling the world of course

Or I thought I did. Then I read your comment. It turned out that I understood what all of the words meant, but not in that order.

Restating: The Best Primary Evar is making blacks and elitists nervous. Blacks and elitists think the Best Primary Evar could ruin the Party.

What I think, after coming back to this after several hours, is that the writer is projecting his own nervousness (as an elitist black) onto the two groups to which he can claim membership.

EVERY republican in the next 9 states and territories must vote Clinton. That is the best way the liberals end up destroying each other through the summer. The close Hillary gets, the more artillery she will bring to bear on Obama's position. All to our benefit..

"Small town folks get bitter after which they cling to guns or religion, or antipathy to people who aren't like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment, or anti-trade sentiment."

First, I think it's wrong (though legal) to mess with the Democrat primary.

Second, this is one of the few times in my life that I am voting for my true choice, not just the lesser of two "not so greats."

I'll be voting McCain in NC just as if NC actually mattered in the R primary.

"I ain't never votin' fo another Democrat so long as I can draw breath! I'll vote for a dog first!" - Leola Thomas

Obama is wounded. He won't debate Hillary. The gaffes & vulnerabilities have come at a blistering pace. They smell blood, see wounds, & will pound those wounds incessantly. She's wounded also, however hers are old wounds she's become used to having. Obama's wounds are fresh. She realizes this is likely her one best opportunity to be the democrat nominee for president & will not let it slip away.

It no longer matters. Obama - Hillary... pick one or even some thrid person, it no longer matters.

No matter who, 'wins' some sizable part of the Democratic Party will be hacked off in a major way. A national campaign is one of inches of single digits... and one can not afford to lose many.

Both of those brain donors have done so... and thus... every day it gets oh so much harder for the 'winner' to... well win in Nov.

He can't win w/o the blue collar white vote. She can't win w/o the Black vote.

These are the facts and they are beyond dispute.
