Vomit

Only CNN and the Democrats would put together a "Compassion" forum. Isn't the Democratic Primary already a compassion forum where Hillary and Obama express their compassion for the little guy while doing their best to avoid actually touching them?

Consider this an open thread.

Seriously. Wonder what his pastor says?

You must be referring to the unrivaled compassion of "progressives" toward the weakest and least among us, the unborn.

Or perhaps you speak of the unequaled compassion of "liberals"
toward their fellow human beings who do not agree with their world view.

Or maybe you are referencing the unparalleled compassion of the "loving left" who give so generously of their own funds to charity.

I am in awe.

I think it refers to the type of 'compassion' that liberal Democrats like to demonstrate by spending as much of other peoples money as generously as possible...especially if it happens to be tax money

I've been lurking around here for a year or so and feel I need to respond to this. One of the things that has irritated me the most about George W. Bush and the out of control republican congress is the out of control spending that happened. I'm not saying that democrats are any better, but I just think you should be careful about throwing accusations of spending around because republicans don't have much to brag about.

People who've been around even longer than that haven't been so happy about it, either. Nobody on this blog worth their salt as a Republican or a Conservative has ever given any of our Congresscritters a free ride on this issue, and we've been on Bush's back about his reluctance to use the veto practically since the day I got here more than three and a half years ago.

I had some blunt words for Roy Blunt the other day about it, in fact. Nobody here is happy about it, and RedState's archives attest to that fact very well.

It is my desire that I help you and your children achieve and maintain the appropriate level of mediocrity.

Preferrably just slightly above the poverty level. And I'm going to take money from the rich and give it to you to achieve this. Not my money, mind you. I need that or I won't be able to take it from those other rich people. As a matter of fact, you should give me lots of your money so I can be sure to complete my plan.

I could only watch about 15 minutes of Clinton before feeling completely disgusted. I had to turn it off.

I had more important things to do, like put my kids to bed. Watching The Masters Tournament today was awesome, however. So much more "substance".

Oh the irony... this all went down at the Messiah College -- fitting for Obama's messianic rock-star campaign persona.
I only caught the first few minutes of it because I knew I would enjoy watching Hillary rake Barack over the coals for his own elitist out-of-touch comments about small town America. (Is it any wonder why his comments were so well received by the anti-Marine illegal-immigrant loving San Fransisco?)
So now it appears Obama is not just out of touch with small town America but clueless as to when life begins? Here I thought he was a "uniter" and not a "divider". At least he was asked about his "babies as punishment" comment a few weeks back.
With this not being billed as a debate, why wasn't John McCain invited to participate... oh, that's right, in CNN's view republicans must be incapable of compassion. Especially since President G. W. Bush ran in 2000 on "compassionate conservatism".
Perhaps FoxNews can follow through with a "Rugged Individualism Forum"???

So much more could get done if no one gave a damn who got the credit.

He just had the good sense to decline.

Did anyone else see this Politico characterization of "right-wing freak shows"?

What the heck? Did this slip a filter?

and then had to recheck what I was reading... another Politico hit piece

Do they have a similar term for the Kossaks and HuffPosters?

Ancient photo of Democrat progenitors...

I sort of wish we had an old time Puritan as a Presidential nominee to show up and start reading to them from the Bible about the founding of a Zion Society and describing America as a City on the Hill.

Maybe have a real debate over the interpretation and meaning of the Bible.

Liberals are weenies. HaHa! Compassion is something that Jesus guy would talk about.

'Slick Willie' used to make regular stops in Westport, Ct when he was on the campaign trail. Sort of like the average Joe making his stop at the filling station.
Friends of the little guy! I think not. When Fleetwood Mac showed up to perform at WJC's first inaugural, the masses should have gotten a clue.
We may be seeing a repeat performance of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, in national sense, with either Democrat, though less so with Hillary

....about reneging on his public financing pledge.

To be fair, I am an opponent of public financing, but the fact is that Obama gave McCain his word, and is now breaking that promise. I'm pleasantly surprised that the MSM is calling him on the carpet on this.
