You know, I've had to listen to wiseacres for the last eight years... [UPDATED]
...try to "explain" to me President Bush's rhetoric.

UPDATE: Oh, is somebody embarrassed, now? [Further UPDATE: After thinking about it for a bit, I've actually changed my mind on this. That text was probably just cut and pasted from the original version of the speech; the people who did that probably didn't even notice that their version of the text didn't include Obama's oopsie.
Said "explanations" usually involved allegations of drug use, general lack of intelligence, bad programming, or... no, actually, that pretty much covers it*, depressingly. The point is, there seems to be a definite interest out there for telling me the nefarious reasons for Bush's patterns of speech.
Sobeit.
Since this is an acceptable topic: what's Senator Obama's excuse, then?
On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.
Power Line (H/T Glenn) goes on to mention the deliberate stupidities in that particular speech (as opposed to the apparently accidental one noted above). Personally, I prefer to contemplate the thought that this was actually deliberate, and that Obama's going after the zombie vote. He's from Chicago, after all: politicians from that city are quite used to getting the dead to the polls.

*For a group of people that pride themselves on their cleverness, progressives aren't actually all that good at insults. The average one seems to have, at most, five.

Whereas when president bush has a slip up, its with his verbal acumen.
Which goes to show the left will cheer you as you rob them if you just say it nicely enough to them.

The main thing we are making fun of is that Barry can't survive without his Telepromter and Image Sanatizer.

But you can have it any way you want it Mickey. If you decide to be Obama's interpreter then you will be busy. Have fun.
My wife came up with the best possible title for a post on this issue: Obama: I See Dead People.
Kinda fits in, though. Considering the audience, full of Democrats who think that "dissent is the highest form of patriotism," it's no wonder they'd consider themselves worthy of honor on Memorial Day.
The Obama: In the Land of the Blind, the one-eyed man is king but in the Land of Fools, the silver-tongue rules.
Clearly, this is the first time BO has actually had to pretend to appreciate the sacrifices made by our military men and women. He's far more accustomed to honoring his own personal sacrifices, such as eating a waffle in the face of media coverage, sorting out the sweeties from the meanies, and standing in long lines at Whole Foods.
