While the Democrats' recent "100 hours" gambit in passing six specific pieces of legislation was very good politics and helped bring about a spate of favorable publicity, there was much more sizzle to the enterprise than there was steak. was a lesson from the Hugo Chavez school of 'democracy'. Get elected then try to rule like a dictator - no discussion, no debate, claim the other party is obstructing progress because we don't have time for the inefficiencies of the legislative process.
