RedState Radio: Van Taylor Fights For Texas

In the 2006 election season there is only one Republican on the ballot who has actually fought in the Global War on Terror. His name is Van Taylor. And he is a RedState pick and a rightroots candidate.
Van Taylor is battling Democrat Chet Edwards in a district that gave George W. Bush 70% of the vote in 2004. In fact, it is the President's home district. Chet Edwards votes moderate in election years and liberal in non-election years. He is bad on property rights and, during non-election years, bad on taxes.
Van Taylor would be a solid conservative. He's pro-life, pro-family, and anti-tax. You can listen to my conversation with Van Taylor here or download it from iTunes.

It is about time Chet Edwards was taken out, and Van Taylor seems like the perfect guy to do it. I'm a bit invested in this race since it's my alma mater's district (and since Charlie Gonzales isn't liable to be defeated (though I need to check the redrawn district lines, I don't believe it affected mine), it would be a very nice consolation!). Taylor will without a doubt be getting my largest contribution this year.
