With all the focus on Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Syria, there’s been scant mention of other members’ globetrotting during the congressional recess. But did you know that members of Congress will travel to 64 countries during their Easter vacation?

While many Americans are hard at work, our elected representatives are in lush destinations such as Egypt, Luxembourg and Trinidad & Tobago. Others will go to hotspots such as Iraq, Pakistan and Sudan.

The complete list, which I was able to obtain, is on the jump.

Afghanistan, Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chad, China, Columbia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Grenada, Guam, Honduras, Hungary, India, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, South Korea, Spain, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Sudan, Sweden, Syria, Tanzania, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Vietnam

(Congressional Delegation). I briefed several of them when they visited Iceland during the Cold War. The staffers attend briefings for an hour or two each day while the principals wine and dine their way across the globe. Your tax dollars at work.

Or maybe the new Conservative Government was smart enough to keep them out!
