This is a tremendous victory for conservatives. Tim Walberg has beaten liberal Joe Schwarz in the Republican primary in Michigan. Well done! Well done to you all. Conservatives must make their voice heard and a Republican primary is the best way to do it.

This is an example of exactly where Conservatives need to make their mark.
It's a Republican district no matter what happens. Knock the "moderate" Republican out in the primary and put the conservative in.
Now let's hope that Walberg doesn't get Washington-itis on us.
I was thrilled when I saw this result. Is this a "safe" GOP district, i.e. does Walberg have a challenge on his hands to get elected or is this one of those areas (like my own) where winning the primary is akin to winning the election?

Not only is Schwarz getting an early retirement, but Tim Walberg is going to be standing shoulder to shoulder with Jeff Flake, Mike Pence, and Jeb Hensarling in the House. Get his RSC membership card printed!
Thanks goes out to Erick and all of the RedState readers. This was indeed a GREAT win.
