BREAKING: Leadership Gets Its Back Up

ImageAccording to House staffers, Boehner's staff is out putting pressure on Steering Committee members to not say how they voted on Calvert.

Two different people tell me the deck is so stacked in Boehner's favor that even if a majority of the Steering Committee voted against Calvert, he could still get on Appropriations. But, that would look terrible to have a majority vote against Calvert and him still getting on Appropriations.

So, Boehner is pressuring the Steering Committee to totally ignore us.

Have you called John Linder yet?

Are we really surprised that Boehner is ignoring us?... Well, more to the point that he is ignoring "common sense"... which seems frustratingly, "uncommon" with our leaders these days.
Hell... Our proverbial "clue" as to his sincerity in reclaiming the dignity they tossed away was when he came here to bloviate about his efforts to do just that... Yes, our distinguished Mr. Boehner had some mighty tough words to share with us... yet when we met his pontifications with questions as to why his public "actions" were frankly contradictory to those macho chest pounding words... we never heard from him again.

My thoughts on what the silence said?

"They didn't buy it... so... screw 'em."

"Even when you fall on your face, you're still moving forward."

Our leadership believes the base is made of mushrooms.

that much of the leadership is made of them.

... They think we grow best in "the dark".
But, they are kind enough to spread the fertilizer regularly.

"Even when you fall on your face, you're still moving forward."

would start a campaign of mailing RNC and other national GOP donation requests to Boehner's office with some acerbic comment.

But would they just "File 13" the ones that came from zip codes outside his district?
