Cover politicians, like cover bands, can be entertaining.

But I like the oldies. Oldies are the genuine article.

Amen!! That trumps the Obamania, just if we had a leader like that this go-round.

Especially in today's climate.

It sickens me to see all of these reruns of Reagan speaking today knowing what debacle the GOP has allowed itself to become since. Its even more nauseating to hear McLiberal talk about him and then bop into CPAC like he's been missed. I swear if I were in arms length of him I'd smack that old man sometimes when he invokes Conservatism and Reagan!

Sadly, Reagan and his ideals are long gone, "Obamania" is the most real thing about this campaign and it is dangerously being ignored by many! They had better wake up; he is gonna be harder to beat because of the emotion behind his empty campagin. And while it is largely based on emotion, at least something bold and positive is driving it! And hey, you have to admit that in the eyes of the uneducated (in terms of ture knowledge on votes and positions) voters today, they find solice in platitude and false promise's of Hope™. BECAUSE ITS A LAZY WAY FOR THEM TO PARTICIPATE! Its a message that is easy to get behind for those with no concscience or principles.

And now McCain's pansy-ass (and DEMOCRAT) campaign advisor has said that he'll quit if the bigger liberal (Obama) wins because he couldnt possible be responsible for "attacking" Obama. Even with his record and lack of??

"I would simply be uncomfortable being in a campaign that would be inevitably attacking Barack Obama," said McCain adviser Mark McKinnon in an interview with NPR's "All Things Considered." "I think it would be uncomfortable for me, and I think it would be bad for the McCain campaign."

What a sad state of affairs that the GOP finds itself. Like I tell the volunteers that wont leave me alone; I'll wait on the principled portion of the party to return, then I'll give money. McCain???? Ok, I'm done, I have to throw up again.

McCain's ideals are Reagans.

Freedom abroad.

Smaller government

Individual freedoms.

I dunno rdelbov, McCain/Fiengold alone wipes out your Individual Freedoms and Small Government. Unless smaller government no longer includes "less intrusive" amongst its descriptions. And his stand on immigration makes your inclusion of Freedom Abroad seem more like he means the freedom of those abroad to come here uninhibited.......No?

FredHeads for Fred!

If we don't have a standard, then we may never realize how far we've strayed.

It's a sad truth that the Democrats were not and are not the only ones who consider Reagan an "amiable dunce". Even while praising him personally, no Republican presidential nominee has ever taken the entirety of his ideological legacy seriously. Bush I did not. Dole did not. Bush II did not.

It is worthwhile to go back and review the 1964 speech Reagan gave on behalf of Goldwater. THAT is the standard.

You can't afford the price of free corn.
