A useful baseline for determining Bush Derangement Syndrome.
The casual - and unfounded - arrogance is the fascinating bit.

If your political beliefs put you in a place where you're using a bullhorn to scream at children because they had the temerity to go along with singing songs and waving banners at the President, then you have gone into very dark waters.
And if you're a member of the group that did that, and you can't respond to this without a "yes, but" - then you're actually not any better than the first person. You're just better at hiding the crazy*.

*No, I'm not giving Joanna Bouldin any credit for 'not liking' what happened. We are not yet at the point where we must credit members of the antiwar movement when they deign to show the moral awareness of a well-adjusted 12 year old.
Not that you'll find many of those in this video. At least, among the people passing around the bullhorn.

Actually, not (nt) because essentially they wanted to rob these little children of the moment of welcoming a President -- any President, even one who they disagreed with. But it's perfectly in character with the educational techniques esposed by Michael Moore. He'd shout them down, too.
In a totalitarian society, you always have to start the indoctrination when people are young. The younger the better.

Just another in a long line of examples.
Some people get bent when you put it that way, but it fits...
Nobody we can call sane
Today as they protest loud but vain
Ev'rybody knows
The commies have dirty clothes
But lately I see the tired old facade
Has fallen from their faces
They smell just like a commie, yes, they do
They make noise just like a commie, yes, they do
And they chant just like a commie
But they shout at even little girls
Queen Hillary, she's their friend
Yes, I believe she'll walk over them again
Nobody has to guess
That cynics do profess
Till they finally see that she's like all the rest
With her smile, her knife, and their backsides
They smell just like a commie, yes, they do
They make noise just like a commie, yes, they do
And they chant just like a commie
But they shout at even little girls
[apologies to Bob Dylan]

And the Lord upon the Golden Horn is laughing in the sun.
But these people can smile just like a...whatever. Which, of course, makes them even deadlier than the grim-faced hacks who waved at the tanks.
The only thing surprising is that the "protesters" didn't physically accost the children. On the left, the constant game of one-upmanship is reaching critical. The only way to prove your ideological purity is to go further than the previous person. They're filthy scum, no two ways about it.

I made a passing small joke in a parking lot about being one of the few Republicans driving a volvo in our town. Some buffoon who heard me make the little quip started yelling and shouting about how I could be a Republican and making war for oil.
As much as I get frustrated with Coulter, her latest book title is right on track.
Trying to talk to them seriously is a fools errand.
Debating them on rational terms is pointless. They are not concerned about arriving at correct results. If you do try, they either get upset and loud, start shouting mantras, or go evasive and use endless verbal trickery.
Their positions are laughable and they should be treated as such. No dignity should be accorded these clowns.

I don't question their patriotism, but I do question their intelligence. I mean, honestly, do any of these people read or watch anything other KOS or NY Times? It seemed that every quote was a talking point straight from the darkest corners of the left. One said that 'Democracy is dissipating.' Huh? What does that even mean? It was like a bunch of parrots, mindlessly squawking what's been taught to them rather than forming thoughts of their own.

(and there is clearly no "dear" about this):
Since you clearly know nothing about my neighbors over the hill, let me tell you a few things about them. They work hard. They pay their taxes. After they pay their taxes, they give to their local churches, synagogues, and meeting houses, with the expectation that those religious institutes will work in an organized fashion to help those who are less fortunate than themselves. And after they are done with all that, they are likely to dig even deeper when the Salvation Army bell-ringer is on the corner at Christmas time. They give to food drives, and they probably even have a separate donation fund to save a starving child in Africa, or send chicken peeps to Isreal to help out farmers there, or maybe instead of Africa they've picked some location in Asia or Indonessia to help. But only after they've made sure their children HAVE health care. So the only thing you and your imported know-nothings from Philadelphia are doing is making it even more difficult for them to raise their children they way they want to. Leave them and their truly caring and helpful ways be! Get back on your bus and go back to your money grubbing, non-working commrades in arms in Philadelphia and leave us the [bleep] alone! I may reside in the People's Republic of MD, but these people are my neighbors, and if you come after them again and they ask me for my help, I'll grab my pitch fork and whatever else is handy and we'll send you back where you belong.

Just how time does someone spend trying to disrupt and cause trouble to others because of their deep and unhealthy obsession?
I wonder if any of these protester groups are on the FBI Domestic Terrorist list? Some of them should be.
I also wonder how many of these protesters are paid-for thugs of MoveOn and other Soros backed groups.
Sad... truly sad. What kind of lunatics go after kids?
