"Assassination" is spelled with *four* esses, you ignorant, military-hating buffoons.
And Code Pink demonstrators. But then, I repeat myself.

And I'd like to note for the record that I am not questioning Code Pink's patriotism. I am flat-out denying that, institutionally, they have any at all:
Code Pink Protests Marine Recruitment Center
By Riya Bhattacharjee (09-28-07)Code Pink took to the streets of Berkeley Wednesday to try to drive the U.S. Marine Recruitment Center out of the city.
Donning pink hats, T-shirts and badges, a group of 10 braved rush-hour traffic on Shattuck Avenue to protest against the recruitment office located at 64 Shattuck Square.
Via Gateway Pundit, who also links to the video.
I'd hate to be the photo guy for the Berkeley Daily Planet: finding just the right photo for the article must have been a whale of a problem. They'd need a nice, wide shot that would require squinting to really read the signs, one that wasn't too obnoxious... and, oh, yes, one that didn't give the whole game away about what the "heroes" of their piece really think about the United States military. However badly spelled.
Read on.
I nearly posted all of Captain Richard Lund's response to the fools that defaced his place of work, but I decided that even an Open Letter shouldn't be just reproduced without express permission. Read the whole thing: he's a good deal more polite to these people than I'm being, while also being implacable about it. One thing to note, in particular:
Next, scrawled across the doorway to my office, you wrote, “Recruiters are Traitors.” Please explain this one. How exactly am I a traitor? Was I a traitor when I joined the Marine Corps all those years ago? Is every Marine, therefore, a traitor? Was I a traitor during my two stints in Iraq? Was I a traitor when I was delivering humanitarian aid to the victims of the tsunami in Sumatra? Or do you only consider me a traitor while I am on this job? The fact is, recruitment is and always has been a part of maintaining any military organization. In fact, recruitment is a necessity of any large organization. Large corporations have employees that recruit full-time. Even you, I’m sure, must expend some effort to recruit for Code Pink. So what, exactly, is it that makes me a traitor?
You have the temerity to work for a organization that Code Pink - and the rest of the antiwar movement - hates, Captain Lund. That's all the excuse they need.

PS: Yes, before anyone asks: I recognize that they have a legal right to do all of that. The antiwar movement has proven quite adept in working out how close to the line they can skate before being arrested for sedition. Alas for both them and their apologists, "legal" and "moral" are not synonyms.

Yes, the First Amendment provides them with the right to be fools. Nonetheless, it does not provide them with the right to deface government property. I hope they are arrested for vandalism.
I just don't understand some people...

by a bunch of smelly loons all in pink. Sounds positively Pythonesque. May they all take vacations on an island that experiences a tsunami or other natural disaster and may they be the first ones in line for oatmeal and a blanky provided by the Marines. That would be one really bitter bowl of porridge for the twits--just hope there is a camera nearby to get it immortalized.
Thats what I hate about these type of left loons. Hiding behind what is "legal". Just because something is legal doesn't mean it is the right thing to do. The left hides behind the legal shield way too often to do all sorts of disrespectful things. That my friends is the slow moral decline of the past few decades coming home to roost.

I see Marines are also lethal with a pen. Plus I noticed his spelling and grammar was perfect.
All more proof that perhaps the next war should be against illiteracy and Marines should also lead that operation.

After all, they've put this recruiting center "on the map" for every teen who lives in the vicinity of Berkeley - a variant of "no publicity is bad publicity" (taken both ways).
Having raised awareness, curiosity may ensue and we may see more teens stopping by now that the presence of a Marines recruiting station has been brought up to their consciousness.
Incidently, I found it interesting to hear how confidently one of the protesters proclaimed that the presence of a Marine recruiting center went against the will of the people. I wonder what else her direct pipeline to "the will of the people" has informed her. But they're certainly welcome to peacefully assemble, and let the (buffalo) chips fall where they may.

right off my screen. Not to worry, there are thousands of other anti American activities that need to be highlighted, thanks for doing this one.
