Can't CNN Get It's Act Together

It was not that long ago that CNN, during a speech by Vice President Cheney, decided to "X" the Veep out. They claimed some sort of "error," but it was clear to most that someone had to have done something to make that happen -- it didn't just happen.

Well, today, during the President's address on the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, it was his turn to experience a CNN "technical glitch." This time it was the anchors talking over him.

The President should probably just expect this from CNN -- the same network that cut to him too early during his immigration speech -- early enough to see him prepping.

That is CNN's act - and it's perfectly together.

"I don't know." -- Helen Thomas, when asked by White House spokesman Scott McClellan, "Are we at war, Helen?"

Kind of a dumb accusation to be making. I think I was watching CNN Headline News onetime, and they were suppose to show a clip about a blind man and his dog, but they played the wrong video. Instead it was a video of a forest fire.

THE WRONG VIDEO?! Oh man, CNN must have some sort of bias against that blind man and his dog! I should get a video of it and upload it to my political blog.

I've been a reader of RedState for a while, but sometimes you guys really just try to milk the cow dry sometimes.

This only happens when it is Republicans, now if we have some evidence that it is happening with approximately the same with Democrats you would have a point. Personally I think it's just laziness. They are interested when Democrats speak and pay attention to what is going on, but when Republicans are at the mic, they drone on about the married guy with problems that they want to sleep with.

Like you guys would watch when a Democrat is on, that's why you never have any evidence. And if you did have any evidence, I doubt RedState would be the first place to post it. That's just common sense.

I think you guys are just trying to convicne yourself that this is some big conspiracy more than you are trying to convince other people.

Read my comment again, this time think, then respond.

Actually, common sense would be something like, "I'm new around here, I should probably at least be polite, no matter how much I disagree." You appear to have suffered a lack of common sense. I'd like you to rectify it.

Now.

You're a crabby lil wench, aren' t you? It could be a genuine mix-up and then again, it could be a poke in the eye. Either way, your tone stinks.

going back to school!!!

"I'm just beginning...The pen's in my hand...Ending unplanned"

double wink.

"I'm just beginning...The pen's in my hand...Ending unplanned"

is it me, or does it seem a lot of newbies, are "Buch"ing for limited time on RS?

It's getting close to election time. It'll only get worse.

"I'm just beginning...The pen's in my hand...Ending unplanned"

the 2004 Democratic national convention, when CNN accidentally broadcast an organizer swearing about the balloons not coming down quickly enough. This kind of stuff happens, for some reason particularly often at CNN (some reason=CNN is an sad, sad FoxNews wannabe that can't get it's act together).
In Kyra's defense (not that I'm especially inclined to defend her), it sounds like she's talking about her brother, not a potential lover. So she's not a (necessarily) a slut, just a moron.

From what I read she had gone to the bathroom but her mike was live. How could that be? Doesn't the control room control the mikes?

I can't imagine that this was deliberate and, even given that it's CNN, I can barely believe they are this incompetent.

You'd have to be a moron to think that the number of glitches directed at Bush and Cheney have merely been coincidence.

Yes, that's my whole point, because what else is there to say? Takes morons and liars to see the many glitches and think it's a coincidence. It's your comrades, individuals, doing it on purpose. It's not institutional. It's not "CNN" as a whole. It's slimy little worms (you know, liberals) who, as demonstrable in thousands of other situations every day, will stop at nothing to indulge their Bush Deragement Syndrome.

I've been a reader of liberal interlopers at redstate for a while, but sometimes you guys really think you're going to slip one past us.

Psh. Next.

If one revisits the history of the CNN website one will find dozens of instances where photos of Bush, Cheney, et al were given unflattering filenames by CNN employees.

I suppose the were accidents and an overreaction also?

...It's obviously an accident. I mean, do you really think those anchors wanted their personal gossip broadcast across the country?

I think you might be overreacting a little.

I totally agree with you. This is just one step below a "a missile hit the Pentagon" conspiracy.

So I don't see how you can say it's overreacting. Did I miss where some reactive action was taken?

Maybe you aren't aware of this, but the anchors don't operate the sound system.

was saying that Erick was overreacting.

calling your sister-in-law "a major control FREAK" on national TV when you didn't know anyone was listening is NOT going to sit well around the dinner table at Christmas.

It was the "Girl Next Door" Katie Couric who forgot to turn her mic off during a trip to the ladies room. Her comments about a friends wife being a Control Freak should make for some fun on the Tonight Show and Letterman!

errr Letterman, man we need an edit feature!

Personally, I think CNN should just go with the, er, flow and make the ladies' room a new set for some of their anchors. After all, why get up? Bill Clinton can be the first guest, and he can help us all break down the barriers to this secret and heretofore barely-newsworthy domain. Pnd CNN will have a natural source of inspiring new sound effects and "slice of life" commentary -- straight from the womens' can. They can bring Dan Rather in and show us all how Fit to Report he is.

Listen, it's better than doing actual news, as the MSM knows. The really interesting stuff always happens between the toilet paper and the lipstick, as anyone in broadcast media knows.

To be the first guest in the new CNN digs, it could be really saucy and controversial because, after all, he's not necessarily the kind of man CNN anchorwymmn like, the kind with "no ego, you know what I mean." But after a little static and some cut-and-thrust wordplay, he'd win them over, gradually wear down their objections, charm them with his beguiling good looks and his plans to make the government "Smaller, Less Costly and Smarter -- starting here in the women's bathroom." Ooooh, it's already getting hot in that bathroom! Think of the ratings!

the world "failure" with Google and you'll be surprised (or not - I was) that the first website connected with that word is none other than the White House.gov bio page for G.W. Bush.

Hmmmm....I like to know how that happens...though it is interesting that Michael Moore's website is located just two spots below.....

"The greater danger is not that our hopes are to high and we fail to reach them; it is that they are to low and we do." Michaelangelo

The Googlebombs that it happens to like. They also don't like to talk about how easy it is to manipulate their search results. That's why they're worth more money than God right now.
