Senator Jim DeMint is trying to get people to sign his petition for Earmarks Reform. Called the 100,000 Strong for Earmark Reform, Senator DeMint wants to show the Senate that people really do care about this issue.

the other third is covered by Champ Bailey.
...of the petition. I went to the site and see that the signers support earmark reform. But what does that general statement actually mean?
How about no earmarks ever! What about clean bills that actually address only the item they were supposedly written to cover with no added sugar or fat?
If DeMint's petition actually says something like that, then sure I'll sign. Looks a little vague right now.
Can anybody shed more light?
