RedState Radio: Sharron Angle

There are three candidates running in Nevada's 2nd Congressional District Republican Primary. They are all now, at the end of the race, running as conservatives. But, only one entered the race as a conservative. Only one has stayed conservative. And only one is backed by conservative organizations. That person is Sharron Angle.
Ms. Angle stood up to Nevada's Governor and Supreme Court when, by judicial fiat, they declared an end to a constitutional provision that required a super majority for approving taxes. When others buckled, including one of her primary opponents, Ms. Angle stood firm. Sharron Angle has such a good shot in tomorrow's primary, the liberal Republican Main Street Partnership has had to jump into the race on behalf of one of Ms. Angle's opponents.

A new poll from the Nevada 2nd district shows a dead heat in the GOP primary set for Tuesday 8/15. Secretary of State Dean Heller and Assemblywoman Sharron Angle both had 32%, while Dawn Gibbons, the former Assemblywoman and wife of current Congressman Jim Gibbons was down at 19% (http://uselections.typepad.com/us_elections/2006/08/neck_and_neck_i.html)
Anytime we can kick the Republican Mainstreet Partnership in the youknowhere, is a good day for me. I find it amusing how at the end of the race, even rinos pretend to act conservative.
