Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez threatened on Monday to close or take over any private school that refuses to submit to the oversight of his socialist government as it develops a new curriculum and textbooks.
"Society cannot allow the private sector to do whatever it wants," said Chavez, speaking on the first day of classes.
Certainly not. Chavez's rule may be threatened if it did.

Many of them were thrilled when he crushed the opposition press... they just wish that could be done here with the "corporate propaganda machines" that are ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN, and of course, "Faux News." I'm not sure if MSNBC qualifies as a corporate propagandist, but even that steaming pile probably makes the list. It is run by evil corporations, after all.
Those on the left have no problem with totalitarianism, so long as it follows a leftist ideology.

In the vein of SIConservative's excellent diary called Defeating Democrats by Attacking Democrats......
Put a picture of Hugo next to the picture of Democrat candidates.
It's war -- so when can we start shooting back at the enemy Democrats?
We need to use side by side pictures that may shake voters to the reality of where the Democrats are leading this country.

Man, does it ever suck to be right sometimes... and the Venezuelan people suffer as a result.

to make sure that the school curriculum is Socialist enough! Heck, they could just use the US curriculum.
