The Origins Of Hugo Chavez

Even more bizarre than you might have suspected. Of particular note is Chavez's admission--once he secured power--that he tricked journalists into portraying him as something that he was not. One would think that this would fully arouse journalistic ire and that the media would be willing and eager to reveal Chavez as the fraud and tyrant that he genuinely is. Thus far, however, Chavez appears to be defying the conventional wisdom that one should never pick a fight with those who buy ink by the barrel. And the community of journalism appears to be helping him do so.

is how American MSM, always the first to shout out at the first hint - real or imagined- of government influence or suppression on press freedom at home, absolutely goes bonkers for thugs abroad whose power rests on influencing and suppressing freedom in the countries they are crushing.
American lefties, allegedly for freedom, have long loved Castro, and are already loving Chavez even more.
What cynical bloody idiotic fools they are.
Keep fighting the good fight, Pejman.
For we have a peculiar power of thinking before we act, and of acting, too, whereas other men are courageous from ignorance but hesitate upon reflection.

Their favorite left wing thug Castro will be dead soon. They needed a new anti-American nearby so they could take pilgrimages and pronounce that they have seen the future. Then you have something to talk about at all the best cocktail parties, hell you might even get to fly out with a Hollywood celebrity.
