(Chatter concerning a non-binding, failed resolution.)

Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert hosts a meaningless show about a meaningless resolution. White House Press Secretary Tony Snow will be on to react, then Chuck Hagel and Jack Reed will vent about the war.

FOX News Sunday (FNS): Host Chris Wallace also talks resolutions. It's another one of those shows where we wish these two could appear together, but the Dem machine would never allow it to happen: Carl Levin and Newt Gingrich. Imagine for an instant those engaged in a debate, even the short form of the Sunday Shows' soundbytes. But it won't happen.

Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer, with LAT guy Doyle McManus on to help him ask questions, will talk to Joe Biden and Dick Lugar. I've been impressed by Senator Lugar's manner throughout this little resolution bit, and I haven't heard much from Joe Biden since the Dems' jettisoned his handiwork in favor of Ike Skelton's little number.

This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos has a break from the meaningless chatter, so to speak: He will talk to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolf Blitzer talks to Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid, thought I'd think the Dems would be reluctant to having dingy Harry have to answer to directly Mitch by allowing a joint interview. Wolf also talks to the media's "Smartest Governor in the Whole Wide World," Bill Richardson of New Mexico, and his usual cast of thousands.
-----

The resolution passed the House in a stilted manner on Friday, and cloture failed in the Senate because the Democrats refused to engage, treating the Senate as if it were the House.

What is the fascination with this non-binding resolution? Granted, it is fun political theater, and the particular poses struck by the anti-Bushies can be amusing, but wouldn't we be better served by, say, SecDef Gates emerging from the cocoon to discuss Okinawa Jack and his scheme?

But this is the news. The public wants what the public gets.

I'll review this on Sunday and put my findings on RedState.com on Sunday afternoon. (Hey, it sounds good.)

My money is they will go on the attack. Deny Murthas plans, and attack the situation in Iraq as a failed quagmire.
