Curt Levy notes, over at Confirm Them, that Senator Feinstein has announced she will vote to get Judge Southwick out of the Judicial Committee and to the floor of the Senate.

a lot of things I disagree strongly with, but she at least has a functioning brain -- unlike her "sisters" Boxer and Pelosi. Feinstein is 100% right on this one and deserves our praise.
The more I read about Southwick, the better I like him.

Would that they would become a habit. She broke ranks with the Dems over vouchers for the D.C. schools, too.
This is good and all, but we're praising a Senator for doing something that should be routine (confirming a well qualified judge) and has taken WAY too long. Good for DiFi for finally doing what she is Constitutionally required to do.

An inside source has told me that he/she has learned that Reid has communicated that he WILL schedual a vote. When I asked if I could use this he/she said it will be breaking in moments if it hasn't already.
