Congressional Democrats are pathetic cowards who are too spineless to go on the record voting against MoveOn.org

The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. After yesterday's advertisement in the NY Times, in which MoveOn.org referred to General Petraeus as "General Betray Us" and made other half-witted, half-truth claims aimed at convincing Americans to root against their own country in this war, according to the AP,
Republicans expressed anger, and sought a vote in the Senate on non-binding legislation condemning "personal attacks on the honor and integrity" on Petraeus and the troops. Democrats felt obliged to block a vote rather than take a position.
Spineless cowards. Clearly MoveOn money and invites to YearlyKos are more important than daring to actually call unconscionable slime what it is.
So what else is new? This is, after all, the Party of moral relativism, political expediency, and power at the cost of a blow to the country they help govern -- it shouldn't be a surprise at all, regardless how abjectly pathetic, spineless, and weak it shows them to be.
How are those MoveOn.org leashes fitting there, eh, Dems? Comfy? Cleary you aren't going to shed them any time soon - not when foreign billionaire George Soros is paying you handsomely to serve as his pawn and to work against your own country.
By the way, if he's paying, does that mean that the majority in our government has been outsourced?
I'm just askin'.

Yeah, right. Tucktails, as Thomas would say.
"No compromise with the main purpose, no peace till victory, no pact with unrepentant wrong." - Winston Churchill
Not even Hillary will cross them. We get the impression that MoveOn and the Kidz are fringe people, brownshirts eager to march past Hillary's balcony in a torchlight parade before they go and throw paving stones through the windows of shops owned by Republicans.
They're not. They've become mainstream contributors with lots of money. They know bundling, logrolling, and lobbying. They've got professional staff in DC who know how to play the game as good as anybody at the RNC.
They know that the Dems need their money and their shock troops next year. They know that Hillary cannot win without their help, especially against Rudy.
The Kos Kidz and the people at MoveOn have Hillary and the Establishment by the huge, bolshy round ones.
Which is good for Republicans, but bad for the country.

It will be UGLY! It will be NASTY!
I can't even imagine what political beheadings will look like. We will find out.

.... ANY troops. We all knew it ..... now they've proven it.
The political calculus; the military is only 2 million votes, or so, with another few million families, friends and veterans. The Dims figure they can easily offset that with illegals, felons, and corruption. Plus, the loons that also despises the military.
They're just counting votes.

It's hard to compare votes to the $$$'s. Do you think we can determine which Dem gets the most money from Moveon.org? Will that person refund he money after the NYT ad? I think they should. If they keep the money then they agree with Moveon.org. Let's see who does what.
When the Democrats do not condemn the antics of Moveon.org, then they are part of this organization. Yes, our so called representatives are part of a kooky left cult (Let's all jump on the spaceship before the comet passes us by).
Hey, no surprise here, but I'm sure that many Americans are shocked! And here I thought we had two parties...

on Hannity and Colmes. I was proud of him - really stood his ground in a civil way.
Seeing how the majority party is in the pocket of a group like Move On, (if only they would), I, for the first time in my life, truly fear for the future of this nation
I wish I could forget his previous antics on illegal immigration, but no..he is still an @#$ and he should be voted out.
Formally known as Deagle... "Golf is a way of life..."
Just once it would be nice to hear the name "Graham" or "McCain" around here without someone piping up about immigration, regardless of the topic at hand...
but that is a major issue facing the US and he failed in my opinion. Your welcome to you own views...
Formally known as Deagle... "Golf is a way of life..."
regarding homeland security and such mean absolutely nothing if you don't secure the border (currently, the biggest and easiest infiltration point). That's just common sense and has been a great failure of President Bush.
Both Graham and McCain disregard this and seem to push for more open borders...
I only mention this in response to the Graham mention, don't mean to hijack the thread...
Formally known as Deagle... "Golf is a way of life..."
and which part of "give it a rest" was unclear?
this is not about your problems with graham and mccain. this is about moveon.org and the democrats. if graham said good stuff on the subject, great. the word "graham" is not your personal invitation to vomit up whatever bile you've been saving for the occasion.
as I'm alive. Those two are utterly unfit for any office, period.
While I'm glad they find themselves on the right side of an issue once in a while we should never forget that they serve for their own pleasure, not the peoples' and that they are wrong way more often than they are right.

CongressCritter™: Never have so few felt like they were owed so much by so many for so little.
As opposed to all those cordial GOP politicians who sit around on Sunday talk shows and talk about their "dear friends" on the other side of the aisle, while those "dear friends" go all Pelosi on us and the troops.
From what I see, we can't spare Graham. He knows how to fight this fight.
Let's keep our eye on the ball, folks. If our troops can deal with multiple tours in Iraq, surely we can agree to put our differences over immigration aside for a while, so our side can mount the best possible fight against Team Reid/Pelosi and their defeatist message.
Right?

You should all understand that all Senators are our friends to other Senators - what a weird world we live in... They don't give a damn about realistic ideas as long as they just "get along"...(at least it seems that way to me).
Sorry, did not want to continue this, but other are determined to disagree....

Graham is in Mike Rogers crosshair as was Larry Craig a year ago. We need a primary opponent for this man.
Here's my question. Has any Conservative blogger ever done an expose' on George Soros? I'm not talking about a little potshot piece, but an in-depth serial type expose' on this man. I, personally, have never seen a picture of George Soros and I know very little about him. He is one of the biggest enemies of my way of life that I can think of, yet I know ZIP about him.
I guess my question is somewhat rhetorical but if I have missed a great piece on him, i'd like to know but I have to believe that is exactly the way George Soros wants it - he demands his anonymity. Do you think there is a conservative blogger out there that would be willing to spend a week exposing this man to a country he is so intent on burying?
Bill O'Reilly spent a good part of one show diagramming the connections from Soros to many "Progressive" organizations. It didn't get any traction and he's only mentioned it a few times since (but I'm not a regular viewer, either).
If the Libs are afraid of the influence of the CFR, we should be afraid of the GSPP. That's the "George Soros Presidency by Proxy," which is what he's trying to buy with his billions. The CFR isn't really a threat, but the GSPP is.

used the same idea (Soros buying the Presidency) in his talking points memo this week. I guess I need to upgrade my opinion of Mr. O's mental wattage.

Aside from the truely loony-left Democrats considering him immoral for not resigning from BushHitler's command....
Gen. Petraeus takes orders from his commander-in-chief. They're politically opposed to that commander-in-chief, and not all of that is mere partisanship. There is a policy conflict between the Democratic Congress and the Republican White House.
They really have little reason to vaunt Petraeus's integrity and independence, especially when that independence is suspect. (Not that I think Petraeus is lying; I think the President picked a general who supports his military objectives. Why on earth would the President pick a commander who didn't?)
So I expect the only reason the Democrats aren't thrilled with the MoveOn ad is that it was so ridiculously over-the-top. Great opportunity for us to make Democrats look rabid, I suppose, but that's about the extent of it.
They are completely spineless, the Democrats. that's why you should chuckle, as kos attempts to spine them. It's fruitless.
Endeavour yourselves to change a lapdog into a pit bull. It't too late, game over, and the pooch will die anyway. We as a legacy will hand over to the Dems a steaming pile of [poo] which they will totally mismanage. See you in 2012

In India one of the ways to catch a monkey is to put a piece of fruit in a narrow mouthed jar. A monkey will be able to reach in and grab the fruit but won't be able to take their hand out with the fruit. So unless the monkey lets go of the fruit they are trapped.
MoveOn seems like a monkey jar for Democrats. The ideology is just Soros's jar. As long as dems tow the line to get the money they isolate themselves. The more they go MoveOns way the more they isolate themselves. Soros gains Access and influence and a machine to attack his enemies. Does a liberal Ideology really matter to a man who destroys countries currencies for fun and profit ?

Who's supposed to have the American people on their side?
Who's supposed to be on the correct side of history?
Because if you didn't know already that the Democrats were the majority Party in the legislature, you'd never guess it from their actions.
