Harry Reid and "The Script"

It is all politics, as it will be in September.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) has told his puppeteers, the big lefty bloggers, that outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Peter Pace is "incompetent." That's what they wanted to hear, so old dingy Harry is at least a yes-man. He told this same crew of malcontents.

They also wanted the addled Senator to say similar things about General David Petraeus. Harry had memorized his script.

Harry today told a friendly group of reporters that General Pace was a liar.

Is he out of control? Or is he perfectly scripted?

Read On…

A few months ago, Harry told reporters that the war in Iraq was lost. He and Nancy recently wrote what amounted to an open letter to President Bush telling him that his surge, not yet fully implemented, has failed.

Here are Castro's Cubans boasting about their American friends, Harry and Nancy:

For their part, leading Democratic congress members have told George W. Bush that his policy of increasing troops in Iraq was a failure, AFP reports.

The leader of the majority in the Senate, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi, president of the House, defied Bush by sending him a letter prior to a last-minute meeting in the White House on Wednesday.

It is the script, and it is all about politics. It has little do with what happens and what is possible in Iraq. They are saying that the new strategy is not a new strategy, that it has failed, and that we have lost the war. The military goal right now, as I understand it, is to work with the Iraqis to secure Baghdad; doing so, unfortunately, is going to cost more lives than is a less aggressive strategy. The Democrats have taken that concomitant increase in violence, a sign that the surge might be working, and repeated as proof that the surge has failed.

September will arrive, and General Petraeus will report to Congress. Harry Reid has already laid the groundwork to use this testimony for the political benefit of his party. If General Petraeus reports that the surge is paying off but there is still work to do, Harry will say that Petraeus is being less than candid about the disaster and the surge has failed. We'll see it coming from three months away, so we can not that he's still following the script. With media complicity, though, Reid will get away with his stunt.

Make no mistake, Harry Reid is not an intelligent man. Harry Reid is not an honest man. Harry Reid is the least competent Senate leader in recent memory. (Can you imagine the grief we'd share if Tom Daschle were the Dem leader?)

But the Dems can't remove him at this point, as the focus must remain on the Administration. They (and we) are stuck with dingy Harry. (Then there's the question of whether Dick Durbin would let Chuck Schumer run the Senate, or would Chuckie too have to relinquish (unofficial) power?)

Anyway, we've seen the script. It's being read aloud as we think about it. Get ready for the next Act.

by liars, traitors and the dregs of humanity. Political power is all the seek and America be damned. They ooze treason, it is their most identifiable trait.

Envisioning when all that is Left is the Right.

...for the last 180 years.

You're wrong to assume that! ;)

You just can't make up the cowardice and stupidity of the International Left and their stateside allies! Castro and Chavez and Morales in Bolivia are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Democratic President who will mimic the inane leftism of the loathesome twosome in the House/Senate leadership chairs.

I could go on and mention a 95-pound weakling named Harry Reid insulting our military commanders [Reid never served in the military] as "incompetent." But just let the foolish nitwits prattle on about AGW and amnesty and other displacement phenomena diverting our attention from the threat of international terrorism and its allies. Harry and Nancy are trying to ignore the three-ton elephant in the living room---their own foolishness.

Tom Tomorrow finally does a funny strip again for the first time in forever.

We've lost! The surge isn't working! Our Generals are incompetent!

Stay with the script, Harry, and keep it up.

We are involved in an actual war in Iraq, a de facto war against Iran, and soon to come, war by proxy re: Israel vs Hamas, Hezbollah, et al. Do you stand and fight, or cut and run? Don't worry, Harry, if we don't go to it, it will come to us! Whatcha gonna do?

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity(Harry Reid), and I'm not sure about the former. ALBERT EINSTEIN

the American people are going to get a belly full and reject this new, irrational liberalism across the board. I am dumbfounded!

One of the main problems is that so many in this country simply are not paying attention. They get all of their news through the MSM and believe it. I pray they wake up before it's to late to fix the problems.

Originally, I thought 911 was going to be our modern day Pearl Harbor and unite this nation once and for all; blasting people out of their nonchalance. But, alas, politics soon watered that down and has now reversed the huge potential we had to get this country back on track.

What will it take?

Only reasons I can see that those two to even wanted be in the governement is to.

#1: Advance a Leftist agenda straight out of the 1970s.

#2: Make lots of money on very ...shady... land deals. Improvements whatch do not beifit the American citizen but add money to their pockets.

#3: .......Blame conservatives for eveything that goes wrong on this planet.

...........isn't qualified to carry Gen.Pace's water much less comment on the General's performance. Let's have a look at your military history and performance Sen. Reid. No? Didn't think so. Pathetic. Are there really warm bodied people in Nevada that actually voted for this guy?

Separated at birth?
