Harry Reid plays partisan politics with the California wildfires
Reid, not really a scientist, faults "global warming."

Why are those wildfires in Southern California blazing uncontained, driven by the fierce Santa Ana winds? That is what fires do when they are uncontained and driven by fierce winds, but not in the universe of Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada).
From The Hill:
“One reason why we have the fires in California is global warming,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters Tuesday, stressing the need to pass the Democrats’ comprehensive energy package.
Moments later, when asked by a reporter if he really believed global warming caused the fires, he appeared to back away from his comments, saying there are many factors that contributed to the disaster.
Too late, dingy Harry. You have played cheap partisan politics with tragic disaster. This speaks volumes about your character, which is similar to that of Pete Stark, the Congressman who tried to use the deaths of our soldiers to score partisan political points against the President and to argue for passage of a partisan political SCHIP bill.
Send in the clowns.

Oookay, Harry, if you say so.
By the way, here are some other things caused by global warming- Hurricane Katrina, tsunamis, illegal immigration, the Cuban Missle Crisis, the impotence of the U.N., the invasion of Poland by Germany, the box office failure of "Rendition", and Rosie O'Donnell.
...I hear EVERYTHING else is Bush's fault.

Wow, the Drudge Report indicates that the fire is believed to have been caused by arson. That must not be right, because, after all, Dingy Harry is always right.

Barbara Boxer just visited Qualcomm Stadium and used the opportunity to pitch her Senate bill. Then she explained how the people (who're doing fine on their own right now) will find out how well the systems work (I thought the story was they didn't work). It was insulting. Coming after her prior statements of stupidity it was even more insulting. Me thinks this verbal stupidity - coordinated with Harry Reid's garbage - has an aroma of Gray Davis to it.
