Murtha to Penatgon: Give It Up

the Pentagon is jacked by jack

Late Wednesday, the Pentagon sent Pelosi a letter saying that it could not guarantee her access to a plane that could fly coast to coast nonstop.

The Pentagon acted even after it heard from Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., the powerful chairman of the House military appropriations subcommittee. He said he strongly suggested to Pentagon officials that they provide Pelosi with whatever plane the House felt appropriate.

On Thursday, the House Democrats met in caucus and heard from Murtha, who apparently did not like the decision made by the Pentagon. Rep. John Larson, D-Conn., the caucus vice chair, said Murtha told the Democrats that he had requested complete records on President Bush's and Vice President Cheney's use of government planes since they took office in 2001.

but this is why people like Pelosi and Murtha never should have been given the keys to the castle. Nov 7, 2006 was a day of shame for those who sat out. You let these fools win.

are the freakin morons who longed for divided government

I need to ask if you are speaking of a general wish for divided government, or just during this specific time of war?

Pelosi's a joke, and Harry's not far behind, but still, I'd rather have a divided government than the various branches trying to see who can be the best rubber stamp.

to acknowledge responsibility for this crap. Now I ask you, if they are acting this unserious in time of war, what would they be like without a war?

I have to disagree.
It was a GOOD day when these people took over.
I mean, think about it.
Think of all of the embarrassing moves Pelosi has made in such a short span of time... and Murtha (Lord love the poor man) clearly has no idea how badly his threatening posture is backfiring.
They lit the fuse within hours of taking control... and they have two whole years to completely self-destruct.

Yes... It was a very good day.

"Even when you fall on your face, you're still moving forward."

Every so often people need to be reminded of why good government is important.

Or so I read on National Review Online. Leave it to the President to come to the aid of the Democrats. "New Tone" and all that, I presume. A shame he can't defend himself or his own administration officials so readily when Democrats attack them.

Murtha's brother's activities are very well leaked.

then let the Pentagon leak, leak away.

Personally, I hope this stays in the news a long, long time. Especially if Murtha's name can be tied to it as Pelosi's consigliere. It's not too soon to begin building a public image of Murtha as a disgrace.

We should talk about this long and often. And, encourage Diane Irey to keep herself available for a 2008 House run.

"Who will stand/On either hand/And guard this bridge with me?" (Macaulay)

Rep. Murtha's comments on Rep. Pelosi's control of the military budget is about as close to extortion as he could come without an indictment.

It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly, one begins to twist facts to suit theories instead of theories to fit facts.
