Not All That

And not a bag of chips either. Maybe it is time for the netroots to realize that their influence on the modern Democratic Party is, at best, marginal. Oh sure, there will be conference calls between Markos Moulitsas and Harry Reid. Oh sure, people will show up to YearlyKos. But those purges of the Democratic Party aren't working out all that well, now are they? The Lieberman-Cuellar alliance and all of the supposed apostates under the Lieberman-Cuellar tent are still doing rather well, aren't they? From Monday to Friday, the modern Democratic Party sends mash notes to Daily Kos and its various allies. But when Saturday night comes around, the netroots are left waiting by the phone while other pieces of the Democratic coalition are having a grand time out on the political town.

Because doesn't alot of members here advocate primary runs against moderate Republicans? I am sure the Democrats love it when Republicans beat up on each other too.
The new Congress was going to turn matters on their head, get out of Iraq, end corruption, and be beholden to the left netroots. It's isn't just the so called conservative Dems, it's the whole Party. Rarely has a party flopped so much, so fast.
The sense of power which the netroots assigned to themselves was a delusion. They never understood the nature of the organization they blindly and stupidly supported, Democrats will sell anybody down the river when it's to their advantage, anybody. Contempt is not a partisan matter to them.
It wasn't a conservative group which said "we bought this party, we own it". Sounds hollow now but that's what happens when you're willingly misled and below the functional quotient of gray matter.
I might add it's quite common for people to seek alternatives through primaries, what's uncommon is the sense and degree of power and privilege the baying hounds, the semi-literates, of the netroots deluded themselves into thinking they had.
"a man's admiration for absolute government is proportinate to the contempt he feels for those around him". Tocqueville
It would keep him out of the Senate race.

In looking for stuff to use against a fairly moderate Dem congressman all I could find (other than his own PRs)was a whole bunch of hate from the KOS types.
If we are lucky they will convince a bunch of their followers to actually primary these incumbents - causing them to spend money and run to the left to defend themselves. That will make it easier for us. I really do love it when the opposition beats up on themselves.
