From the mouth of John Kerry.

"You know education, if you make the most of it and you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

Wish I could swear right now...thank goodness I left MA for the South otherwise I would probably storm Beacon Hill and start another MA based revolution against the commies that run the State House....ARGGGGH

The way to stop dems is to quote them accurately.
The proper thing to do at this time is to make an ad showing Kerry, Murtha, Reid, Rangel, Gore, carter, Durbin, Dean etc. calling for defeat, calling our troops nazis, calling our troops stupid, calling for raising our taxes, bragging about killling the Patriot Act, claiming there was a whitehouse conspiracy for 911, etc.
America is waking up to the threat democrats offer this country instead of leadership. I think they are unpatriotic and are in fact helping the terrorists and weakening our resolve to fight this war.
I think most Americans reject such seditious defeatism.
W is on message: We fight to win.
W is on message: our economy is great.
W is on message: dems offer a way to lose the war and to wreck the economy.

maybe we can find an AG with guts enough to pursue a treason indictment for JohnBoys 1972 endeavors in Paris...

I guess the left is trying to spin it by saying Kerry was only refering to Bush as the one 'stuck in Iraq'.

Has anyone ever told Kerry that we now have an all-volunteer military, and young men who don't want to serve don't need deferments? Our troops who are "stuck" in Iraq WANT to be there!

But Kerry has a plan. All he has to do is meet Bin Laden around a table in Paris, and all will be well.

The bad news: Conservatism is hard to sell. The good news is that it works.

"I don't know." -- Helen Thomas, when asked by White House spokesman Scott McClellan, "Are we at war, Helen?"

I forgot to add that it proves something Rush says: They're using the same script they've used since 1968. Almost sounds like he still thinks the draft is in effect.

The Left couldn't have provided a better sound bite to reveal where they really stand. Remember how Clinton stated that he "loathed the military"?

Kerry:
"You know education, if you make the most of it and you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

What I expect my Senator's to say:

If you are strong, smart, determined and dedicated to your country, you too can have the honor of serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Well he has his troops too I suppose. About time for academia to post final instructions to the brainwashed masses in college. Engaging the enemy includes slashing tires of Republican get-out-the-vote vans, trashing local Republican headquarters etc. etc.

If they were to make a comedy about an arrogant buffoon with an inflated ego who wants to run for President they could just follow Kerry* around with no embellishment needed. He is truly a caricature of himself.

* or Al Gore if Kerrys busy.

Trying to lose the election. He makes such extrem faux pas that its hard to attribute them to simple stupidity.

Ummm.... I believe the "you" he is referring to is the POTUS. W, squanderded an oppurtunity to use his Yale education to become a successful businessman and instead has us "stuck in Iraq". Anyone who believe that Democrats don't support the troops is so deluded it's really sad.

So is pretty much every Marine and Marine Corps family I know (lots). Your first two and one-half sentences qualify you as either a Moby or an asshat. Maybe both.

that word creep into our language here? (I know it fits perfectly)

Save it for the brainwashed. He was referring to his audience. I also caught your other implication, that a Yale education is wasted when applied to public service. As one of those former troops, we always knew liberal support of the military was quite the conundrum. You can't stand the sight of us but you have to pretend you support us. Don't bother.

Looks like I have to give back my Bachelors Degree as well as my Juris Doctorate now. Oh well, that is a pity. Since it took me 7 years and 200,000 dollars to get them. Guess I have to go join the rest of the uneducated losers in my unit now...

Bush are a piece of [excrement]
You are a piece of [excrement]

You piece of [excrement] you

Now that Ive got that out of the way, here we go, one last time so you [fellows] can follow along:

Iraq war ≠ war on terror

We are less afe today because of 5+ years of bad short term thinking following 9/11. Try reading the Tipping Point. Broken Windows, you morons.

Perhaps if you lived in NY, you'd understand. You like to mock us heathens here in NY, but your dirty little wars keep showing up on our doorsteps instead of at the doorsteps of your trailer park in Bumfock, Alabama. You dont enlist, you support inane wars, and then you dont even get to watch your town get bombed like we do. No wonder you have no incentive to change your narrowminded viewpoints.

I dont know if it's the incomplete sentences or bad spelling but you sure have convinced me!

Perhaps it is the bad grammer. No, wait, the assumption that everyone here lives in Alabama and not, say, Brooklyn.

You are truly brilliant.

I am not a cosmopolitan New Yorker but then my bumkin southern state didn't allow an Arkansas lawyer to show up at our doorstep with a Yankee ballcap and take a senate seat.

The longer we dwell on our misfortunes the greater is their power to harm us - Voltaire

I remain in eternally surprised at the bigoted vitriol spewed anonymously over the internet about our beautiful state and enlightened residents. Yet, I can assure you these rude throwbacks have quite a different attitude when they walk our streets and visit our towns and cities. I would like to think this attitude change is due to our Southern charm, but with little boys like this I am sure it would be the result of just plain, good-ole fashioned fear.

When did this kind of hate become PROGRESSIVE?

of why I switched from (D) to (I)

Kerry is speaking to his fellow elites. These elites are far too good to be bothered serving in the military. For them, the military is a toy with which to play boy's games. The military is for poor RedStaters who have no other options. Kerry's military is full of ignoramuses. Kerry has no regard for the military, which is truly shocking given his alleged service in Vietnam. (I say 'alleged' since I would argue his time there was primarily intended to serve himself).
Kerry's statement, when overlayed with the universitys' general treasonous lack of support for the military, is enlightening. When our nation's "top" university, Harvard, doesn't even allow ROTC on campus, you know there is a huge problem. Kerry's statement confirms this problem.

Part of the GOP plank needs to be to eliminate all forms of federal support for any university that does not fully support ROTC and military recruiting on campus. No funding. No student loans. No scholarships. No sending military officers there for fully-funded advanced degrees. Nothing. Period.

Let George Soros, Teresa Kerry, and the GoogleBoys pick up the difference. My hatred of John Kerry is in full flower.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. - Alan Greenspan

Mocking the misstatement of a decorated war veteran while Ahmadinejad freely kidnaps Brits on the open sea strikes me a bizarre. I doubt that Kerry would have been so passive and allowed himself to be captured.

I don't like his politics, but the nanny state is progressing quite nicely under Republicans. We've lost support for this war for good reason, we're losing. If we have any hopes of winning it must be executed thoughtfully and with transparency.

The views of veterans like John Murtha and John Kerry are valid and must be considered. Again, I do not agree with them but they now represent the majority.
