ID-SEN: Anybody But Simpson

For over a year we have encouraged our own party to clean up its own act. Sadly, we keep running into situations like Larry Craig.
Craig, however, is gone as of the end of the month. We applaud his decision to resign.
And now, it is important that Governor Otter replace Larry Craig with someone who will fight for conservative values — in other words, anybody but Mike Simpson.
We'd encourage Idaho's Governor, C. L. "Butch" Otter, to chose Lt. Governor James E. Risch as Senator Craig's replacement. Lt. Governor Risch is popular, free of taint, and relatively conservative. He's an appealing alternative to Senator Craig, and a much better choice than someone like Mike Simpson.

Major Garrison reported on Special Report that the state's two congressional representatives - Mike Simpson and Bill Sali - were no longer under active consideration and that Risch was the only one who was under active consideration.
My first preference is Bill Sali, but I'll be very happy with just about anybody from Idaho other than a Democrat or Mike Simpson...but I repeat myself.
Some qwuestions are being asked after the Craig fiasco...what is going to happen when someone finally outs Lindsay Graham ??
Who will replace him? Or will he get a skate..? The anti illegal alien folks have been looking to run someone against him already.

I voted Harry Browne in 2000, but will never vote Ron Paul.
Robin hates me, calls me a racist, but I don't hate him. I just hate his political activities, and wish he would retire to greener pastures.

He could set up shop with John McCain.

Just to be clear; I was only joking. The idea was that you thought so little of Graham that it was gaybashing just to associate his name with them. After having pressed 'post', I realized that it wasn't particularly obvious (or clever).
Cute picture by the way.

I get the joke now, I like it, heh.
Anyway, thanks. I made it myself. And the neat thing about this picture is that it should work whichever side you're on re: McCain and Graham, heh.

The implication that being gay is equivalent to pleading guilty to an offense, and that being gay is sufficient to force somebody to resign.

Why can't we have any GREAT gay conservatives in Congress? There's one from California who is pretty good. Better than the one from South Carolina and the soon-to-be former one from Idaho. And the former one from Florida.
Kolbe was pretty solid.

Is there any indication that the news reports of last week and this past weekend were wrong? The story was that Otter had already made his decision and that he is going to pick Risch. Are there now conflicting reports that Simpson is being seriously considered?
