So yesterday I suggested Bush trot out Ted Olson as his Attorney General nominee. Be sure to check out Drudge today.

Make it so, Mr. President.

who would make a great AG. The libs are sure to froth.

He also lost his wife on 9/11, an outstanding person in her own right, who died on one of those planes the deniers say didn't crash the way we all know they did.

Go Ted, and God Bless Barbara.

I'm thinking Ted had other things on his mind yesterday. The timing could not have been worse.

Today would be just fine.

A talented man.

Any odds on which Dem will be tactless enough to suggest that Olson can't be "impartial" in evalutating national security laws such as FISA because he lost his wife on 9/11? I'd guess Durbin, although Leahy and Kennedy are likely possibilities, too.

the past 2 days, I am not convinced they know what happened on 9/11. Wexler and Lantos certainly seem to have amnesia or dementia (it's a toss-up). Actually I am certain Lantos has senile dementia (heh, Kennedy has something that rhymes with that).

Really, I am not kidding -- some of the very worst individuals in this country serve in Congress. The shame.

Maybe Schumer during the Judiciary Committee hearings. I think this type of comment would blow back on the Democrats.

He certainly does have a strong resume full of conservative credentials. He has represented Bush in the 2000 Bush v Gore case that eventually decided the 2000 election. Also, as an assistant attorney general under Reagan, he defended Reagan during the Iran-Contra affair.

Quite a competent selection. :)

How was I trolling? My post was not sarcastic in nature.

...as you think you are.

Then again, you are an Edwards guy.

You could have copped to it, you know. We do let Democrats on. Even liberal populists.

Ta, moby.

and the rule of law are always good clients. So I think Olson made some righteous picks here.
