Well, well, well. Another sign of the Apocalypse of Toleration, which is the latest crisis of Liberalism: “Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid offending Muslims.” This in the UK, a once proud nation of hardy men, now sadly reduced to a tocsin of warning for the rest of us.
It was once thought, with some justice, that what is called the Holocaust but which in truth can have no name, was the very height of evil. Good Liberals thought this, and swore to us all that they would teach this lesson to all mankind. Already they have failed, for they have abandoned this their most precious vow: abandoned it because their political philosophy, always inclined to chase after fashion, has now added to fashion the impetus of bone-chilling fear. The fashion is Tolerance as a kind of political god, and the fear of Islam is evident.
Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Government-backed study has revealed.
It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.
What need be added to this? Only this:
Our governments, friends and patriots and men of the West, will become our enemies in this war before it is over, so long as they answer to the call of Tolerance. This doctrine must be repudiated. The material might of the West will be of no account, or may even be added to the enemy’s side of the ledger, if we choose to disarm ourselves intellectually. And make no mistake, the choice is being made every day: the Liberals are choosing dishonor over defeat. The Socialist mayor of London, where the Jihad struck less than two years ago, sides with the Jihad. The feminists silence their shrill vituperation in the presence of Muslims. The progressives hang their fellows toiling under Islam out to dry. Who can fail to perceive this?

it is necessary to ignore the genocide that occurred to one ethnic group, because another religious sect, that despises the ethnic group that suffered the genocide, cannot be offended. So, being taught about one group's hatred, which led to genocide, would "offend" another group's hatred, we must be tolerant of that hatred, even though it could and has in the past resulted in genocide. I find it extraordinary that anyone with a brain could actually think like that.
In cold logic, the brain of the worshipper at the idol of Tolerance must work like that. To deliberately give offend to an aggrieved minority is the most baleful of all sins; it is to trangress the will of the god; to be, in short, intolerant.

schools will be dropping evolution theory to keep from offending creationists, now will they? Just as the IRA found out, you blow up a few people, you can get your way.

You might notice what the study is actually about and the conclusions that it draws are not quite as alarmist as your linked article or headline imply. I suggest you get the facts from the source instead of relying on inflammatory headlines and quotes taken out of context.
As if this one study were the only data point I am relying on.

It is the only "data point" the story you quoted referenced and the only one mentioned in the write up.
I do feel that I can make some small demands on the reader to relate this story to the topic I have addressed here at Redstate for about two years. Regular readers know me to resemble a broken record on this.
I suggest you consider perusing my archive. The summission of Great Britain to the Jihad has been a continuing theme.
I am to read 50 page pdf documents, but you are not even expected to familiarize yourself with what I have written on this topic before?

You're the one making claims, not me. You want to make claims, back it up with facts and links to the actual studies, not some distilled sensational opinion piece and rhetoric. I would think that all of the readers here would expect you to actually read the study that you were referencing, or at the very least check the intros and conclusions. Linking to someone else's interpretation of the study to try and continue to prove a point while ignoring the actual meat of the study is doing the conservative cause and your readers a disservice.

Fair enough, if that's your position. But it seems to me that you are pursuing this pedantic point to distraction.

Because they're both grossly out of context considering the scope of the research and report. The report identifies that example as a problem in teaching. The report also demonstrates a system for engaging in and teaching potentially hot-topic, emotional historical issues. The report was done to identify and solve a real larger problem and you/the daily mail selected an anecdote out of the study as evidence of an Islamic take-over of the UK.
If it were April 1st, then I'd be sure this is a joke. It certainly reads like one; adjusting history lessons to accommodate Holocaust deniers.
