The Democrats are not done yet trying to shaft the troops. No, having failed in the debate over the surge, they now intend to amend the 9/11 Commssion bill coming over from the House to do it.
Reid told colleagues on the floor after Monday evening’s failed cloture vote that the 9/11 bill, which House Democratic leaders trumpeted in their “100 Hours” agenda, will be open to war-related amendments. Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), who unveiled his own binding troop proposal yesterday, said yesterday that the 9/11 Commission bill is his preference.
That is just as well. The Democrats rushed the bill through the U.S. House without regard for the costs of the bill, which will rack up billions of costs in ideas both parties previously rejected as flawed.
This bill should die and adding the surge effort to it just might work.

What happened to the Democrats and bloggers claim that Iraq has nothing do with 9/11?
You can't accuse Democrats of hypocrisy.
Remember, the same bunch of clowns that are now saying we are all going to die of CO2 something or other as soon as they figure it out, also said Saddam Hussein had WMDs. If Blix had said Iraq was clean, no Iraq war.
