No, that's not John Edwards' two new bloggers' public opinions (and who can say what they think privately on the matter?). That is from a text book used at an Islamic School in Britain.
The principal of an Islamic school has admitted that it uses textbooks which describe Jews as "apes" and Christians as "pigs" and has refused to withdraw them.
Dr Sumaya Alyusuf confirmed that the offending books exist after former teacher Colin Cook, 57, alleged that children as young as five are taught from racist materials at the King Fahd Academy in Acton.
Imagine the uproar if a Christian or a Jewish school had books like this. And yet, because the West has to be soooooo sensitive to the poor little muslim kids learning to be racist terrorists, I guarantee you nothing will get done. Oh, and you mock me for saying they are learning to be terrorists? Also from the article:
Pupils have allegedly been heard saying they want to "kill Americans", praising 9/11 and idolising Osama bin Laden as their "hero".

bath water. There is no reason for there to be a problem with the whole of Islam. It is not ALL BAD. The problem is that there are parts of it that are bad. The greater problem is that people are afraid of challenging things that people say are their beliefs for fear of being called a racist or something. If somebody speaks to you and says 'God tells me that I should kill all apostates, gays and infidels', then it is legitimate for you to reply back to that person 'if that is what God tells you then you need to modify it'. Unfortunately too many people are afraid to reply back that way.

the problem is that any potentially "good" parts are absolutely silent. If, as is typically proposed, the "bad guys" are hijacking Islam, it is up to Muslims to rectify that. It's way past time for "moderate" Imams to stand and be counted. Unfortunately, it seems as though they can likely be counted on one hand.

But therein lies the problem. Until Imams, given the top down nature of Islam, stand and condemn radicalism NO ONE will.

Nothing to see here, folks. After all, as the textbooks of the Saudi Islamic Academy teach:

What I do care about is when they start sending money to groups like Hamas and Hezbollah and calling for Jihad against the West.
For starters I would consider either deporting the Imams or arraigning a visit to Gitmo.

how the problem is NOT Islam. There was an Islamic woman on Fox last night (H&C I believe) who is an author who was making the case that the problem is not simply Islamic fundamentalists, it's the whole of Islam because any "moderate voices" are also silent voices.
