Nancy Pelosi won't meet with General Petraeus tomorrow.
Harry Reid's going, but he plans to ignore him.

Nancy Pelosi plans to force a House vote tomorrow on the Pelosi-Murtha-Reid "We've Lost, Let's Surrender" plan, on the very day General David Petraeus will be on the Hill briefing lawmakers on the success and prospects of the surge. She won't meet with him.
California Yankee tell us that Harry Reid won't believe a word from Petraeus's mouth. His mind is made up, and he will continue to ignore the military commander in Iraq.
BASH: You talked several times about General Petraeus. You know that he is here in town. He was at the White House today, sitting with the president in the Oval Office and the president said that he wants to make it clear that Washington should not be telling him, General Petraeus, a commander on the ground in Iraq, what to do, particularly, the president was talking about Democrats in Congress. He also said that General Petraeus is going to come to the Hill and make it clear to you that there is progress going on in Iraq, that the so-called surge is working. Will you believe him when he says that?
REID: No, I don't believe him, because it's not happening.
The old fool needs his Micromanager anti-superhero costume. (Pull the lever, Reid implodes.)

Nancy doesn't want to hear the general, either:
ABC News has learned, however, that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., will not attend the briefing.
"She can't make the briefing tomorrow," a Democratic aide told ABC News Tuesday evening. "But she spoke with the general via phone today at some length."
"At some length?" The same stooge said that the phone conversation last a half hour. We've a war going, and the future of the Middle East could hang in the balance. We could hand a major victory to both al Qaeda and to the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is the most important vote this year of any House member, including Nancy, and she refuses to meet with the general in charge of our forces in Iraq and of implementing his own surge strategy. Nancy is to busy. I'd ask doing what, but I probably don't want to know. Seriously.
Even though he's said that he'll be plugging his ears and humming Sorood-e Melli-e Jomhoori-e Eslami-e Iran, Reid will attend the briefing for Senators at 4p.
It seems that the Democrats have assessed who is supporting their Pelosi-Murtha plan, and they've determined that these people do not want to hear from General Petraeus either. Thus, they assume they will not be hurt politically by blowing off the meeting. The radical left is with them, and their minds have been set in stone for some time. Reid sees Schumer's promise of more Senate seats if do not win this war, and his political instincts tell him to go for the gold of an ugly U.S. defeat. Pelosi might be getting a pedicure.

When in history has a Senate leader ignored our military leaders in the past? Frankly, I am begining to think Reid is delusional, ignoring facts and statistics for his alternate, unsupported version of reality.

Didn't Murtha claim before the last election that soldiers were privately telling him how badly the war was supposedly going, but he couldn't name names for fear of discipline againt the soldiers? Perhaps Harry will say that there are now officers who are secretly contradicting Petraeus, but he can't name names...
Yes, I truly hope that someone in the blogging community will be able to come up with every minute of Nancy Pelosi's schedule tomorrow during the entire time of General Petraeus' briefing. Minute by minute I want to know where she is, what she is doing, who she is talking with. It better be good. Anyone think we'll get that info?
I would really like for Rush to give us updates throughout his program.
This is an excellent idea, and would expose Pelosi for what she is.
talking to someone more important than General Petreaus.
However Clam will attend the meeting, he may have a real estate deal for the General.
Clam may crack long enough to correct the General on his mistaken view of the war he sees up close every day.
Then Clam will return to where he belongs, the bottom, along with the muck and other bottom feeders.

Anyone have a video camera or two, and the time to follow Pelosi around on Wednesday? And any other Democrat that is refusing to attend the briefing. Don’t actually engage them, just film them doing whatever it is they are choosing to do instead of going to the General’s briefing. This needs to be plastered all over the net by evening. Then, these video’s need to be turned into advertisements and mini-movies about these elected leaders and national security.

Lord help us. I prey these idiot democrats that we elected to play with our lives don't drive this country into another civil war.

We could hand a major victory to both al Qaeda and to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
I agree that Iran is one of the winner's of the Iraq War but I don't think Al Qaeda is or can be.

What more can the Dems do before Joe Lieberman leaves their caucus in disgust?
