For Sunday, November 20, 2005
Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert chats with Jack Murtha.
FOX News Sunday: Host Chris Wallace has SecDef Don Rumsfeld. (I hope Rummy won't play "good cop" with the BushLied™ crowd. He's much more effective when calling a spade a spade.)
Wallace's other guest will, of course, be Joe Biden.
Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer, with Elizabeth Bumiller on to help Bob with the questions, will talk to Rumsfeld then Lugar and Dodd.
This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos talks to Rumsfeld.
Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolf Blitzer talks to Rumsfeld and his usual cast of thousands.
-----
NOTE: I have no indication Rumsfeld will go easy on the BushLied™ crowd, or if he'll join the overdue offensive. The Secretary has indicated in the past that "that's political stuff" and he'll leave it to others.
We'll see what happens, and I'll have the review for you Sunday afternoon here at RedState.org.

A Sunday morning without McCain on at least one of the networks doesn't seem right. Maybe that's because McCain isn't playing the Maverick this week, the media doesn't love him nearly as much when he isn't a maverick.
Senator Joe Biden discussing Saddam's WMDs on Meet The Press:
"First of all, we don't know exactly what he has. It's been five years since inspectors have been in there, number one. Number two, it is clear that he has residual of chemical weapons and biological weapons, number one." Joe Biden D-DE, 08/04/2002
"We know he continues to attempt to gain access to additional capability, including nuclear capability." Joe Biden D-DE, 08/04/2002
"[H]e does have the capacity, as all terrorist-related operations do, of smuggling stuff into the United States and doing something terrible. That is true. But there's been no connection, hard connection made yet between he and al-Qaida or his willingness or effort to do that thus far. Doesn't mean he won't. This is a bad guy." Joe Biden D-DE, 08/04/2002
"This is a guy who is an extreme danger to the world, and this is a guy who is in every way possible seeking weapons of mass destruction." Joe Biden D-DE, 08/04/2002
The more I read these pre-war quotes by Democrats, the more I believe they made a stronger case for war than the President.
Biden Lied, People Died!
statement on FTN fallout
mccain gets a taste of the shunning the gop pres nomination would instantly bring
last week in NH
bet he won't be asked about that unless he's on FOX
he is on Fox. Jay Rockerfeller was squirming last week. Chris Wallace played his(Rockerfeller's) own quote and Rockerfeller was a wigglin, telling Chris Wallace to 'be serious' and said his vote for the war didn't authorize sending 150,000 troops to Iraq. Huh? I guess he didn't read the resolution.
I was kind of mad seeing his Republican counterpart(I think it was Roberts) let him off the hook. Rockerfeller was shaken up(it looked like it to me anyway).
and then quote dems and ask, is this who you meant
well who then and what did thay say
yeah, roberts and most gop sens love the senate more than they love america and/or are just wimps or slow
they need to realize that senate rules were made for gentlemen which the dems most assuredly are not
otherwise there would have been fistfights (like there was in the 1800's, admittedly, usually instigated by my sc ancestors!) soon after the dems pulled some electoral vote stunt in early 2001
well that was minor, BUTTTT
at least soon after the iraq war and the lies started that embolden the enemy and cause more american lives to be lost
they need to call unpatriotic speech and lies by their name on tv next to them
we rant
sorry
also we need to use Fox and talk radio and ignore their msm and fake polls
we have to frame issues morally instead of like cpas and professors
the dems fight for keeps
and so should we
next resolution for vote:Liar? Bush? Saddam? Bill Clinton? Kucinich? The Swimmer?
all with quotes
vote by electronic device
and we should investigate rock's tripo top syria
and we should pass a resolution denouncing Bills statements on foreign soil
converted betrayed desm that know those people up close and who gave the freaks cover like I did and like Bill did
are rabid zealots when we see the light
we know those people
and how they are in confidence
envy rules
hate rules
and many are racists
later
Rocky last Sunday, and I think he felt badly for his colleague. Rockefeller was having a very tough time of it, and Roberts seemed to be finding ways in which to make him not seem quite so bad.
If that were Roberts's goal, though, he didn't really do that well, I don't think. His attempts to buffet Rock seemed kinda lame, but what could he say?
Really.
After his "revisiting the actual history" performance on Tuesday and subsequent statements in Australia, I don't think we have to worry too much about Rumsfeld going easy on the "Bush lied" crowd. I expect the talking points have been established.
the troops his colleagues put at risk
thats my whole point
does pat have to have bush or the troops next to him naked in the senate steam room to feel for them
when I watch these shows i feel like Im watching the old movie, The manchurian candidate as i scream at the screen to alert the good guys that the enemy is in their presence
if the enemy could plant their agents in the senate or the msm, could they do them any better

Russert was chosen to carry the water for the 'cut and run' crowd this weekend. No other appearances for Rep. Jack Murtha were scheduled on any other networks? Maybe too many interviews would lead to multiple confusing variations in context of just when exactly, to 'immediately cut and run' from Iraq.
