Die?

Joshua Sparling has been in Walter Reed Army Medical Center recovering from a gun wound he suffered in Iraq. Someone sent him a Christmas Card. The card wished him a "great time . . . dieing in the war." "P.S.," wrote the well wisher, "DIE."

That's the only Christmas card Joshua Sparling had received at that time. Michelle Malkin has details on how you can correct that. Let's let Joshua Sparling know he is appreciated.

Somewhere I can pick up a block of Christmas cards.

PS: On the off chance that the person who encouraged the kid that originally wrote that ever reading this... Jesus loves you, but only because it's in His job description.

I always figured John Kerry wrote his nonsense in Crayola.

Mailed a card today!

Also going to try and find other names to send cards to.

God Bless out Troops!

Not too long ago I ordered a pile of crossword, fill-in, and word search puzzle books. (You can get a few dozen back issues for about $20 including shipping.) I broke these up into groups of 3 or 4 and ended up with about 30 manilla envelopes. It took a couple of calls to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, but I eventually got the office of a Major who is "gift coordinator" for BAMC. I packed these up in a couple of boxes and sent them to her office (very cheap to mail at media rate!) and got a very nice letter from her a few days later.

Sorry to be so long-winded, but the point is that you may be able to find a person at WRAMC who can pass out cards or anything else that you send in bulk.

Anyone wishing to send cards or gifts to troops abroad can of course find names at the great anysoldier.com website among other places.

I can only hope this is some kind of sick hoax. If not, then I hope little Miguel finds a new homeland, finds out who his Daddy is, and finds his mommy's body on Christmas morning, choked on her own vomit from a drug overdose.

Kinda like spitting on a soldier without actually expectorting.

speaks volumes about the left however.

but he'd best be shopping for millstones and a bus ticket to the waterfront, as I recall.
