Charlie Rangel doing The Dean

Either Charlie was trying to get some of the heat off the Doctor of Scream, or he just wants a piece of the action
Top House Democrat Charles Rangel complained on Monday that the Bush administration's decision to concoct a "fraudulent" war in Iraq was as bad as "the Holocaust.""It's the biggest fraud ever committed on the people of this country," Rangel told WWRL Radio's Steve Malzberg and Karen Hunter. "This is just as bad as six million Jews being killed. The whole world knew it and they were quiet about it, because it wasn't their ox that was being gored."
Even in a time when Everyone is Hitler for 15 minutes, Rangel has upped the ante.
We need to come up with the next thing. When people start making web sites like Everyone is Hitler for 15 minutes, you know Hitler is starting to lose his punch. It won't be long before Hitler has totally lost his utility as the Universal Bad Guy. People will be walking around going, "Hey! Howya doin', Hitler?" "Seig heil to you, Hermann!"
Seems to me we could be of some use to the party by identifying candidates to take Hitler's place. The question is, who's worse?
Stalin gets a bum rap as a Bad Guy. Numerically, he went way beyond Hitler. Six million dead was chump change to Stalin. But for some reason, he's just never caught on.
Same with Pol Pot. Nobody cares.
I like Vlad the Impaler myself, but I fear he's too obscure a figure. Most people aren't familiar with his work.
If more people followed WWF, we could maybe use one of their wrestlers. They got some really evil ones that people boo and throw tomatoes at. We might even be able to work a deal with them where we could get the guy to show up at the Democratic Convention and threaten people if they don't vote for the Democrat.
What about natural disasters? Can we use those? "Hillary Clinton is worse than the mass extinction that killed the dinosaurs." Well, maybe not that one. Some people are glad those things are gone.
What about hypotheticals? How about, "Harry Reid is like a 50-foot-long space alien with 20 heads that slices people into ribbons with its claws and bites their heads off"?
throwing doozies like that one. When he says something like that, I think most people just shrug, and it isn't like he is ever going to lose in seat, no matter how offensive his bombs are.
really their not subtle at all and they rightly get into trouble for their outragous comments. The point he was trying to make was it was the worse ignorance of what is plainly going on since then, which is obviously far from being true when the worseness of the ignoring is about lives. He could have easily made his point about it being parrallel to the way the germans ignored faulty cooked up reasons to invade poland without drawing as much fire and he would make the listener/ reader subconsiously connect america today with nazi germany without the instant disagreement with a statement they obviously find faulty messing up the subconcious connection. Seriously its as if the dems don't know anything about taking advantage of the human psyche at all. The only people this propaganda would effectively work to convince is those already convinced.
Seriously, he was listed as comparing himself to hitler in the 15 minutes thing, has a hitler mustache, and just destroyed the homes of a million or so people right before winter durring the middle of a severe economic depression making them very undernourished as well and is going to relocate them to the country where they will have no means for survival.
of condemnation, Darleen. I'll try to, too. Short editorials blasting someone are easy to write -- I speak from experience -- and normally the editorialists would be cranking out pieces expressing outrage as weekend fillers on the opinion page. (Second editorial, below the usual thumbsucker lead, Monday.)
I suspect we will see very few, but I hope to be proved wrong.
"... We thought Amnesty International was obnoxious for comparing Guantanamo Bay to the Soviet gulags, this is off-the-rails offensive."

Bush: 50,000,000 liberated from tyranny
Hitler: 6,000,000 Jews systematically exterminated (not to mention another 120,000,000 or so of all faiths killed in WWII)
Yep, I see the point - the point being that the Democrat leadership is, like most of the left, simply beyond parody.
